Thanks for all the replies. The main reason I don't wanna do it is Sc's age. Even if I find 98-99 one, I'll have to do a lot of work to get it to great condition (climate control displays, window regulators, instrument gauges, timing belt/waterpump job - I did it myself on my 97 SC400 and it was pretty intense job...) While the Z has 55k miles, pretty much nothing. On the other hand, modified SC > 350Z, at least in power and looks department. Of course, the Z handles/brakes 5x better.
Is it possible to drive boosted/swapped SC300 in California (would it pass official SMOG test)?

I think an SC is just more reliable when it's taken care of. My friend has driven his Z for about 90k miles now and he's had some issues with it. But my sister's sc300 has 225k and it still runs smooth. Only major work on it was timing belt, water pump, etc. but that is something you just have to do.

sc300jz, you can't never go wrong with a GS. After I get everything up and running like brand spanking new on my SC I'm gonna get my wife a 2GS4 or 3GS4. (Unless, I find a black/black 99-00 SC, I really love that VVTi/V8 combination, I just wanna keep my '95 all OEM for now)
