Unhappy Am I crazy for wanting this again?

Ok, so I had 2 lexus SC (99 SC3, and 97 SC4) before, now I'm driving 05 350z 6 speed, and I'm thinking to sell it, and get (yet again!) an SC. Obviously I will modify it a little (wheels, drop). Am I stupid about thinking this haha? What do you guys think?

The only drawbacks that I see, is that it will be 12+ year old car, which means, all rubber stuff has pretty much dried out, paint faded, lots of stuff to replace...

Since you're already familiar with the cars, you know better than anyone if they'll fit your needs. I hope you decide correctly

No need to get another sun baked California (or Texas, Florida etc.) car, look for something from Seattle or Vancouver where there's much less sun and the rubber will be in great shape. My '95 has no sun baked rubber on it yet.

Of course you're not crazy! this is a SC forum, after all...

Actually, I thought I was crazy too when I began to realize that all the cars I owned after I sold my 1st SC (1993 SC300) just didn't do it for me. I went from an SC to a '09 TSX, '10 IS250, '09 TC (yes, I know...it's a Scion, but it was really cheap). Nothing was right; the look, the feel, the awesomeness...2 1/2 years later I'm back in an SC (1998 SC300 Bordeaux Pearl baby!) & I'm enjoying EVERY SINGLE MINUTE of it!!!

If your brain is telling you "no" but your heart is telling you "yes", you know the answer, buddy. Just take all the knowledge you gained by owning the other 2 SCs, apply it to your new one & have lots of money on the side to put into it...you'll be much happier!

It's nice when it's new... They don't age to well and are expensive to deal with.

But I would much rather the SC

i think going from the Z to a SC will feel sluggish you will deff miss the power of the Z especially 2nd gear and it just handles better. but to each his own. you should try and get a 99-00 sc400 so you can be close to the same power again

my .02 cents

No your not crazy, I know the exact feeling since I got mine last month. I've owned a bunch of cars and driven many of my friends cars like, mitsu, honda, acura, subu, nissan etc..... Where can I order that front bumper in the last pic by the way?

They always come back from what I've seen in this forum. Why sell you SC just to buy another SC lol ?

Both cars are cool. SC is a bit classier but will be more of a hassle since its an older car. On the other hand, modded SC's are pretty rare so your car would be nice and unique in your neighborhood.

its whatever works for you man. but seeing as you have already had two sc's im sure you will beable to tell the difference between a great car and a money pit, but IMO i like SC's much more then a z. dont get me wrong a z is a nice car and everything but again, IMO nothing beats the comfort and looks of a SC.
