I say the 100% black so you can see the sealing process. Also use some strong zipties while drying. I would also say the other most important thing is to assure there is nearly ALL the factory glue removed. May require reheating a few times but this will allow it to be done correctly. If you dont remove majority of the glue the lens will become a little crooked and will not fit back into car correctly. JMO
