I used clear 100% silicone, worked just fine. Resealed my headlights over 3 yrs ago, made some slight modifications to prevent condensation, and never had an issue since then..clear or black silicone will work.

The thing about the black silicone is if you make a mistake in putting it, you'll see it for sure.

100% black silicone that comes in a big tube sucks. That stuff failed on me after a few months and caused my headlights to leak.

I recommend black silicone RTV sealant.

100% black is good. I used the clear silicone and it doesn't feel as strong. although both of them can seal pretty well.

On the bottom of the primary housing, I drilled 5 dime sized holes, and it worked great..just dont drill to deep. Before I tried the same thing you did with the lens, and it didnt help at all.

clear 100% silicone

100% pure black silicone

Does anyone have any thoughts of the first two links? its what a fellow member suggested.

and does the 100% pure black silicone only made by one brand or multiple brands and if so which brand is the one to get for quality? thanks!
