Default Cleaning headlight and wiper switch boots

Hey guys,

Need help finding a thread. A while ago I saw someone had clean their headlight and wiper switch boots with some chemical/cleaner. Over the years those rubber boots tend to fade and turn rusty looking. I saw a post once where someone had cleaned them and they came out great looking.

Anyone know of this or have the tread saved somewhere? I been searching without any luck.

Thanks

I use Simple Green and a terry-cloth towel and it works great...and smells good too! And it takes the dirt right off. Which by the way is what give the "rusty" look, not so much of fading, just dirt.
