Has anyone here purchased one of the headunits from this seller? Seems like a good option to keep the stock look. I would do the tape hack but my tape player does not work.
Also, would the 92-96 headunit work in my 97? I know it won't work in 98+.

email that guy on ebay
I paid him $75 to add the jack to my radio. You mail it to him and he sends it back....all within a week. Just get him to know you are sending a radio and what you want done. He can put the jack on a cable so it comes out of the back of the radio, goes in the console, and you mount it in the console storage for total concealment; no stupid cables and clutter to see.
Sound is as good as a CD. I have not listened to a CD or radio in years.

After doing some research, I found a couple of local guys who can do the same exact thing to your existing head unit for around $60-$80...A much better price than the what the ebay seller is asking for.
I really like how you're able to add a more modern touch to an older car...I'm contemplating getting this done as well, But I'd like to have my auxiliary jack input concealed in either the glove box or inside the arm rest console (Like what the newer cars have).

I'm not so much trying to find someone to do it as i'm trying to figure out how it's done so i can do it myselft.
I know there is a direct pre-amp input inside the headunit that you can just plug a servo wire into as described on one of the threads on here. What i don't know how to do is silent the radio so that only your mp3 player is heard.

I haven't seen one of those with the aux in, but I wrote a thread on how to do it one time many years ago. It wasn't a detailed how to, but it put you close enough to figure it out if you were going to be able to do it in the first place.
