Finally, got my 14829 magnaflows installed on my sc4.
I didn't remove anything else other than the two stock mufflers, fearing that the car might sound too loud. Boy was I wrong. With the stock mufflers replaced, I turned the engin on with much anticipation.
Too quiet.
Not only that, I couldn't have the mufflers installed looking straight out of my bumper. It was because of the cambers in the way of the rear of the muffler. So the mechanics had to install the mufflers about 5-8 degrees tillted aiming out from the center. I don't know if this happened only to me or not, but that's how it went.
Although there was some amount of dissatisfaction, I'm still happy with the look of them, and also not having to hear the high pitched noise from the stock mufflers.
One question though... is it necessary to reset the ECU after this installation? And, is it simply done by disconnecting the battery for 15 minutes?

Brand new they are quiet. On a cold start up they are quiet. With stock piping they are quiet. One solution is to replace the resonators with Magnaflow resonators like MadMax. His exhaust is plenty loud all the time. Mine have gotten slightly louder since they were first installed. The additional larger piping did help out as well. I guess the Magnaflows aren't the loudest mufflers out there, I was kind of hoping they'd be louder at first as well. Sorry about the disappointment, I feel partly responsible. BTW, the reason yours are toed-out is because the muffler shop used the stock piping which was designed for offset mufflers.

Hehehe...I had the exact OPPOSITE problem you do...my exhaust is WAY, WAY too loud...I'm going to add resonators and HOPEFULLY, that will quite them down. I have heard that the magnaflow resonators don't do much however...I might have to put in a mid-muffler instead...
