Default Whining sound

I'm hearing some whining sound coming from the shift ****...I guess that's where the gear box is. And it's not any obstrusive annoying sound, but sounds like a noise from an accelerating small RC car.
Is it because of some kind of oil change that I was supposed to have taken care of?

It is the air being released from Killerlexus's inflated head.

Aaah, Johnny always brings a smile to my face, you'll be seing that little b@stard killer's face on a milk carton soon........

Oh, right, the whining, before we begin, you have a 5spd? If yes, have you had any clutchwork done lately, or any problems with the TO bearing? Exactly where does the whining come from? (I know Johnny, the whining's coming from the kitchen...... )

You sure you don't have a turbo in your transmission?

under the ****? I don't think that is possible, I don't know how a connection between steel and plastic (or whever the thread on the **** is) could make a noise like that. Are you sure it's not coming from the actual tranny? The only thing I can think of is your somhow getting a lot of pressure in your tranny and there is a small hole it's pushing the air out of.

How many miles on your coupe?

Sounds like motor and trans mounts are weak and sagging due to high miles. What happens is the drive shaft is out of alignment due to the sagging engine and trans. This will cause a whine or clicking noise from under the shifter plate when slowing to a stop. Does this sound like the symptoms your experiencing??????
