Hey guys, just signed up to the site so I thought I would introduce myself. My name is Brandon and I live in BC, Canada. I am 26 and recently left the Canadian army after serving a combat tour in Afghanistan. I have a '97 SC300 with a JDM 2JZ under the hood mated up to a 5spd trans. Its pretty much stock right now other than a stage 1 clutch and Tein RA's. The twins are on the way out so I am looking at switching to a Holset HX40 or HX45 single snail. This is my daily so I am shooting for between 450-550whp and be able to keep it streetable for everyday driving.
I have some XXR's that I am using until I find a nice set of wheels and focus on fitment. I will also be looking for a bodykit in the spring once the snow is gone. The wheels in the pictures are going to be painted black and used as winter wheels. The taillights have also been replaced with Soarer tails.
And now some photos =) I will get some better pics up soon with my Canon 7D!
Anyways, just thought I would say hello to everyone and looking forward to contributing to the forums!
Also, heres a photo of meeeeee =D

Welcome! So you're from B.C? Are you a fan of the Canucks by any chance? LOL!
But yeah, I suppose your car is definitely a North American model Lexus SC...Looks like whoever it was that had the car before you decided to retrofit '95-'96 tail lights (They're same whether the car is a Soarer or SC).

Welcome, welcome to.. le dungeon. (Props to anyone who recognizes this line)
I think I like the last pic the best, with the rocket launcher. That's definitely a non-JDM part that few on this board are bound to have- and I'll bet in increases performance (or at least cooperation).
The car looks awesome, and I look forward to following it's progress. I think you'll find that most of us are an incurable bunch of gearheads (nee petrolheads) who spend a lot of time on their cars and even more time surfing the CL forums.
I raise my antenna in salute of you, sir. (My car's antenna, that is- it still works)

welcome!,the lexus is clean, i would not put a body kit on it unless you go with an auto couture front bumper thats it. take off the rear wing, drop it on some clean wheels and leave it alone. i see alot of guys with ugly body kits outside of the auto couture and it makes the sc look ricey.. btw the swap looks clean.

Welcome!
Looks like you picked up a nice example -- I was checking out that car on craigslist and it seemed like a good deal. I actually really like the understated look of the wheels it came with
