I am contemplating this idea to make a hybrid 97-95 front bumper. Has anyone done this before? Would I just have to cut a hole in the bumper and drop it in?

Yes it has been done, unfortunately I don't remember where it's located on the forum? The last image I saw didn't look too bad. Of course you won't have the true front similiar to the Wald kit...there is an flat indention on the front of the Wald kit. Search posts by Levie...he has a true Wald kit, I think he's from Canada. Hopefully this will give you a better idea of how it looks. Good luck, and if you pull it off-post up pics.
