Rit fabric dye is at your local grocery store.
I like this DIY thread! Great Job, 1siksc!
I have too many more pressing things to do on the SC3 right now, but you're inspiring me to do a test run on my '90 Isuzu Trooper II --- it has an ugly brown interior, but one a lot simpler to take apart and put back together, so would work great to get past the learning curve.
I was at Home Depot today, and saw that rust-oleum is now claiming that their new line of 'double coverage' paint also bonds to plastic. I tried the first generation of plastic paint they made on dirt bike parts, and decided it was garbage.. Has anyone tried the new stuff?

Gloss Black Fabric Spray seems to do it for me, but it sounds like the ritedye stuff does it too.

Is there moisture in the air? If so, stop!! If there is any in the air it will not spray or adhere correctly. This is from experience from SEM. I hope this helps. I also have always used the black landau or gmc black colors and spray cans.

Are you shaking the can for 2 minutes? Before spraying?

Yes. Just strange. The darker version didn't do it at all. Oh well they still came out great.

Thanks for the kind words. I have painted many pieces with SEM. Heck I even painted my chrome antenna with it. So far so good. Prepping is the key. Progress is coming along. If you have any questions feel free to post or PM me. GL!
