How to: Dyeing and Painting Interior, Interior Build Thread
#106
Rit fabric dye is at your local grocery store.
I like this DIY thread! Great Job, 1siksc!
I have too many more pressing things to do on the SC3 right now, but you're inspiring me to do a test run on my '90 Isuzu Trooper II --- it has an ugly brown interior, but one a lot simpler to take apart and put back together, so would work great to get past the learning curve.
I was at Home Depot today, and saw that rust-oleum is now claiming that their new line of 'double coverage' paint also bonds to plastic. I tried the first generation of plastic paint they made on dirt bike parts, and decided it was garbage.. Has anyone tried the new stuff?

Has anyone had a problem with SEM paint changing color in mid spray? Im using the 15143 Sandstone and on two different cans Ive had it go from beige to a peach color. Im able to cover it up with a couple of spray overs after it drys but im wondering if Im doing something wrong?

Is there moisture in the air? If so, stop!! If there is any in the air it will not spray or adhere correctly. This is from experience from SEM. I hope this helps. I also have always used the black landau or gmc black colors and spray cans.

Thanks for the kind words. I have painted many pieces with SEM. Heck I even painted my chrome antenna with it. So far so good. Prepping is the key. Progress is coming along. If you have any questions feel free to post or PM me. GL!
