Default 10w-30 Motor Oil into the coolant

Yeah my idiot "friends" decided to **** with my car. My radiator has a crack in it, they said let's put coolant in, I said no that's fine don't touch my car. One of them thought it would be a fantastic idea to refill my cracked radiator with coolant from the trunk of of his car. Turned out to be motor oil. Luckily I cussed him out, locked up the car, and kicked everyone out of my house before they could actually start the car like that, which they were about to do.

I hate my life. He refuses to pay for the damages cuz he's a *****. Now I got oil in my coolant. I've done so much work to this car to get it working, I finally finished painting the valve covers bright ruby red. I feel like murdering someone. My poor SC400. Now I must repair her on my own expense.

If the car hasn't been started, you should be able to drain the radiator. A functioning thermostat will be closed and block any oil from going into the block. On the SC400, looks like your friends may have just fill the reservoir, so you may be able to get away with just removing it and cleaning it out.

Good luck!

"mine the company you keep". If by chance it got into the engine, have your car towed to a trusted location, have the system evac'd or flushed.

- just my thoughts

x2 good luck!

Ok here we go.
1 get a drain pan
2 open valve on radiator or remove bottom hose and drain into pan
3 make sure all coolant/oil is out.
4 take garden hose and stick it in the radiator fill cap and kill the earth lol
5 place hose back on bottom or radiator and or close valve
6 refill and stop crying and don't let your retard friends near your car again!!!

Was the car running when filling? If not thermostat was closed and it could not get into the engine.

You definitely need new friends. if you can (or if there is) pay for any damages and hit him up with a lawsuit? Hopefully it doesn't need to come down to that though.

But you definitely need new friends.

just be cool about it, next time you are hanging out whip out a big old jug of motor oil and dump it in his radiator.... and when he looks at you crazy just smile and tell him you were returning the favor.

Very accurate details. Yeah, it was the reservoir, no cap on the radiator itself as we here all know, BUT THE ENTIRE COOLING SYSTEM WAS BONE DRY when he poured in the oil. Whatever. My radiator was cracked before he poured the oil, I was gong to have to take it out, patch it/buy new one and more coolant anyways, just now I need to deep clean the reservoir as well as possibly getting some radiator flush additive.

Thanks for the support, unfortunately the luxury of a mechanic evades me for now, looks like I'm doing the work myself. My friend is luckier than anyone that I can at least handle this fix since he's broke and can't reimburse me for his stupidity.
