93 SC400 Strobing/Flashing Electrics
Hey guys...
My 93 SC400 has some sort of odd electrical issue and I'm a little stumped.
The entire electrical system (all lights; headlights, dashlights, interior lights, tail lights, the blower fan, everything) strobes like the voltage is going up and down slightly. The lights kind of dim and get brighter all the time. Sometimes it's worse than others and it's never the same interval, it will flash a few times then be fine, then flash once and be normal for a little. It's most noticeable at night, you can see the strobing, kind of almost looks like one of those safety headlights guys are installing on motorcycles these days, but it's not on off on off like those.
Revs don't really matter, it is random at idle and flat out, if i rev the engine it will change slightly though...but still random
I've replaced the alternator, this changed nothing.
I've pulled the fuses for a few things; radio, blowers and so on to see if that cleared it up due to a short in one of these systems or something, but that didn't change anything.
Any ideas? I'm stumped and don't really feel like (ie; have the money for) taking it to a shop.
Please let me know what you think!
THANKS!
