I'm going to test drive 330CI soon because your guys make it sound intersting
. $32,000.00 for a new one, that a pretty good price. If is it too slow, I probably trade my SC400 for a 740IL. I love the look of 740

MadMax, quit teasing us!!!
XTC, I like the 2001s a lot better than the 2002s, but you did upgrade to a 5-speed so I guess it's all good
. Do you ever feel the 3-series interior is lacking compared to the SC? That was my first impression when I drove a 2000 323Ci.

Well I'm not going to test drive 330CI. The 330CI might be able to follow my SC300 tail but still smell my pipes for good
, too slow compare to sc400. I let your guys think about the M3 but M3 will not be able to catch up with SC400 for sure.

A '95 won't take my car on the freeway by any stretch of the imagination. I ran down a M3 coupe from 80 to 130 and he had the holeshot... of course my car's chipped and everything. Pretty soon though I'll be outrunning a lot more cars.. hang onto your SC400's, it's not over yet

Sorry Henry, but stock for stock, the 330Ci and '95+ M3 will take both the SC300 and SC400. A '98+ SC400 might take a 330Ci.

Unlike most people that have considered this the timetable is weeks, not months or years..
Assuming everything goes right, next week I'm taking my car to Weapon-R and Leo's going to install a turbo kit he's going to manufacture for the 1UZ-FE. He needs my car for a few weeks for tuning and working out the bugs, but my ECU module is all ready for programming so pretty much all that's gotta go in at this point is the hardware and proper turbo electronics. I don't know any details yet, but he said that we'll start out with a conservative output of +100 whp. Then upgrade more stuff and learn as we go along (and my bank account allows) and hopefully see if we can put the SC400 back on the map. I do know that it's going to be a union pipe feeding a single, bigger turbo. I'll make a thread or two and keep you updated on the progress.
The point here is that it's actually happening, and it's going to be ongoing but we'll have results and a saleable kit hopefully before the end of the year.
Edit: price and output goals are that they should be comparable to kits you can put on an SC300, and lag should be very low since it's 4 liters driving the turbo.
