Got mine today and took it to the painter. He said he will have to modify it a little to fit 100% correctly. I know the design of it covers a slight portion of the fog lights at the bottom but he said with it like that the taped area won't sit flush. I see what he meant. That was always the one thing that bugged me about the lip. Just doesn't seem flow correctly and in my opinion shouldn't curve over part of the light. Especially if you need to pop the fog light out. So he is going to trim a little off the fog light area tomorrow and paint it and then mount it monday.
You can kinda see what I mean in this pic...
Notice the gaps at the corners of the fog lights. I mean hey I know that's how the original design looks and I know fitment will never be 100% out of the box but I actually don't mind having it corrected since it bugged me anyway.

I was debating on doing something similar, but since my car is a dark color, and the lip will either be the same color, or black, it may not be as noticeable ..?
Either way, I really like the over all look, and quality of the build.
