I had a similar problem, I had checked all the fuses visually but when I checked for continuity the cig outlet fuse was blown. It was weird because when I used the cig lighter several days before the climate control had already stopped working.

Best bet is to fully check the fuse someday before saying it's good by just looking at it.

Simple to check continuity and won't hurt to try! Good luck

I would love to find someone to fix all the wiring for my 95. Its been through hell and back and frankly, I'm tired of dealing with it.

Finally fixed mine. Been doing a lot of searching here on CL and all that was said was the 15A Cigerette lighter fuse. What was overlooked was the "HTR" fuse, for heater. It's the second fuse in the kick panel. It's a 10A fuse and that, too, controls the climate control.

I had the same problem. I opened the engine bay fuse box, and nothing looked out of the ordinary. I squeezed under my dash, and saw that a fuse was blown, so I replaced it. Fired right back up, and I don't even know what fuse I changed out. It's really not hard to spot a blown fuse... it's usually the one that looks like a mini-grenade went off inside it.

Can someone PLEASE help me. Im having almost the same problem but when in park my climate control is on but when I go to move it into drive it disappears and none of my buttons work. Before this, it would go out and i would just change the fuse out but now it turns on and off and the fuse for the cig lighter is now lighting red and i dont know if thats normal or not because it wasnt like that before. Someone told me to reseat all the wires and i did but still nothing change. Could there be something else!?

help needed here, same problem i checked all fuses visually and with a needle power tester tool, everything was fine. I need some help, in my 2008 is350, my climate control dash not working, the buttons for controlling the climate are not responding, the LCD screen i can see that it lights up ( it has power going to it), but it doesn't display anything. I though it was my climate unit that went bad, so one of my friends let me take his unit off and put in on mines to see if it was a defected unit. But still I ran into the same problem, the buttons are not responding and lcd screen not displaying anything. i checked the fuses under the dash on passenger side, ACC fuse and ECU-IG fuse, both seem to be good. don't know what else to do. call dealership told them exactly what i just wrote^^^ and they said bring the car in. I'm not trying to spend a fortune trying to fix this. any help please i highly will appreciate it. thanks

Two additional items:
Replace the fuses with the ones that light up when they blow to simplify your life.
Use dielectric compound on all fuses when installing them.
For $20 you will be a lot closer to knowing what is actually working.
Then test the wires into and out of the fuse box.
I had a penny stuck in the cig lighter when mine went out. Seems it is the perfect size if you are not careful with your change!

Yea sounds like you might have to break down and have someone look at it cause it sounds a little difficult to try yourself.
