Default Top Gear mention: Best sporty Toyota?

Soarer is mentioned here number 1. 20 years later, SC platform still holds strong! I didn't know Soarer was first to have GPS..Impressive..

"1991 Toyota Soarer Z30
It's got a digital dashboard, you could get it it with a 4.9 litre V8, and it was rammed with tech (FACT: it was the first car in history to feature GPS navigation via a CD-ROM). It came in 5-speed manual flavour, too. Nice."

SC490.

It didn't say it was the first to have a digital dash.

Everybody on this board know that already, I mean a lot more people are restoring if not playing with SC's/Soarer's nowadays.

It's a little bit saddening though that Corolla cannot even go up against Honda Civic....

I'm suprised the MKIV Supra, Soarer, or second Gen MR2 didn't come in first place.

I always thought the 90's MR2 was extremely sporty, along with the 94-99 Celicas. The AE86 is so ugly!

Yeah, it is ugly, I agree with you, but that thing is a beast! They used to use it for off road rally, drifting, circuit racing, etc...

Yes, the cars are great for their age and most cars built by Toyota between 90-2000 are solid!
