Default Installed my new HIDs and did a little photo-whoring...

I know, another thread from a newb with a stock car, sorry, just saving money for rims and coils, I promise it won't look like this forever! Anyway, I got a set of 6000K 35 watt HIDs for my low beams and fog lights on eBay and installed them today. I love the look so far, the matching looks classy I also have 3000K bulbs for when I wanna switch out the fogs, but they did not look as bright in person from most angles, just kind of dull-yelowish mainly... Anyway, some iPhone pics of the install, and DSLR shots all cleaned up. Can't wait for the rest of the leaves to turn yellow...

DSLR time. I know they aren't the best, I was not taking my time shooting, I didn't want to get hit by a car, lol

And two shots of the horse

Hi.. I also purchased the same kit Xentec on eBay 30000K for high beam, and 8000K for low beam. I notice there is a gap time and sometimes even blink before it could reach the potential output. Also they both worn off within 4 months. Tell me how long u had that kits?
Then i purchased the same thing but on Amazon under brand KENSUN. I quite like it. I recommend for long-term use of HID. Sadly they often out of 30000K for high beam.

these literally arrived today, and I installed them within two hours of their arrival, so no problems yet. The seller I bought them from has a 2 year warranty. I had DDM Tuning Slim ballast kits in my Cavalier, and loved them, but I couldn't pass up the price on these, and figured I'd give them a shot. If they suck, I'll just get DDM ones later, haha.

Not bad for rushed work, too much sunlight, and no tripod, haha. I love adobe lightroom, makes editing a breeze!

Those are nice! Great pics too, on a side note-what camera and lens are you using?

Its a Sony Alpha A300 (2 years old almost...) and I was using the standard 18-70mm lens it came with. I've got a 75-300mm zoom for it, and two crap eBay fisheye and "wide-angle" (lol not quite) lenses, but they hardly get used. I want to get a 50mm for it for another good, daily lens, along with a legitimate wide-angle. The 18-70 is perfect for simple shooting.

You found HIDs cheaper than DDM?! I think $35 is quite reasonable -- it's far cheaper than even Silverstar replacement bulbs.

Thanks man, and it's really easy. As long as you have an eye for a decent picture, and a camera, it's easy. Hell, I use my iPhone for a ton of photos (5,000 on my old 3GS, and over 300 in the first week of owning my 4S). With about $10 in editing apps and stuff, you can make some impressive cell phone shots. Just find some cool locations, and replicate shots you see online, mess with angles, lighting, etc, and just have fun with it. My style has changed dramatically since my first camera (tons of JDM angles, yo!) but once you find your style, just have fun and snap away.

*Cheaper than their slim kits. I didn't want the raptor kits with the big ballasts (there isn't a ton of room to mount the big ones so they're hidden). These are even smaller than DDMs slim kits too. It would have been about $110 shipped from DDM versus the $75 I paid for both kits. I like them, and as long as they work, I'll be a happy camper, haha.

Thanks! that was my favorite shot of the bunch(and my current desktop). And yes, the 3000Ks were HIDs, I just have two sets of bulbs. And from that angle they were bright as hell, but looking at it standing up, they looked like a dull yellow/white. I'll probably switch to them later, and I know how that combo looks at night (had the same setup on my Cavalier), so I wanted to try something different!
