I removed, sanded, and painted the emblems with flat black paint. I also modified the timing cover and installed new plugs and wires. I used Denso plugs and NGK wires.
How hard is removing the trunk emblems? Mine have some gold plate that they're dying to lose!
All the emblems where a little difficult to remove. I used goo gone as a pre-treat and then a plastic razor blade scraper. The really difficult emblem was the SC300 on the back. It has a more than necessary number of pins on the back of it. Just work slow and don't pry out to much and break them. If you use normal paint make sure to really sand them good. If not you'll get fish eying everywhere. Also I used liquid trim adhesive to put them back on. The trick to using the liquid is use masking tape to hold them flush to the body panels till it dry's. Other wise you'll have gaps on some edges.

Why not. There's no difference in this post and the countless NA-T builds, LED light replacements, and every other thing that has been done and posted countless times.
This is a fail thread. Atleast you supplied pictures and didn't do a hack job at painting. I hope one day you are boosted and have aftermarket camgears to showoff. Other than that it's just a hazard. Looks good though.
