My auto transmission is starting to go out in my 93 sc400. I was wondering how much estimated would it cost to get another auto transmission vs a w58? basically which is cheaper. Me doing labor myself of course. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Get a used SC400 tranny. You will have to spend between 1500-2300 for the parts not counting labor. Install clutch master, clutch line, W58 tranny, slave cylinder, fork, clutch, flywheel, bell housing convertor, etc.. Just to start.. I have one if u need one.. A tranny that is for the 400

^^^^^^^^^^sc400's are all automatic and they can be had for $300.00 or so with warantee.
It is very costly to do a manual swap and there are issues that come along with them,,such as gear ratio, cel lights,,,and swapping rpm gauge and dash for a manual one .
Stick with a used auto from e bay or another source.
