Painting car need opinion on color
My car is a 98' SC300 with factory Ren... Red. My car was hit in the rear bad. So now I'm painting the whole car over. I want to know everyones opinion on color. Should I leave factory red or switch to a sportier brighter red or dark red?

rob3379,
I would opt w/ a sportier Dark Red.
lex400sc,
Seeing pics on your ride and the mod's you have done to it,
the Royal Saphire Pearl would look sweet, which would compliment your rims nicely.

Actually, these rims are temporary/winter rims. I'm eventually going to replace them with 19s. I'm still kind of undecided on chrome, silver + high polish lip, gunmetal, or gold finishes and spoke, mesh, or dish rims. There are seriously way too many beautiful rims out there to simply pick ONE. Oh well, I have time to decide because as of now I have no money to buy anything .

I've never really liked red, except for deep reds, as lex400sc just mentioned...
lex, I think that black would be the most sinister looking, but silver has to be the neatest colour for a Soarer/SC... not being biased or anything

Yeah, I like black because it is aggressive yet classy. Waxing a black car is pure joy, and a shiny black car definitely has the most presence on the road. On the other hand it gets dirty easily, scratches and dings are eyesores, and swirls are intensified. One thing I like about my sandstone beige metallic color is that even when it is real dirty, it doesn't look like it is. The color is too bland though, which is why I want to change it up. RSP turns heads on the road, and up until those damn WRXes, were few and rare. It's a sporty, fresh, young look, which is another image I want for my Lex. No more neutral, earth tone colors that scream "this is my mom's car!". Silver with a pearl in would be unique, sportier, and universal as far as wheel selection. Such hard decisions...

this may sound weird but i'm a big fan of midnight blue and i have always wondered what a midnight metalic blue with a silver metalic undercoat would look like. Kinda like the hyper paint but not necessarily the changing of colors but just like a lil silver shinning through when the light hits it.
Just something i have been wondering what it would look like.

I like BLACK. Not metallic black, blue-black, midnight-black or any other. Just straight black. The reasons are simple, easy to shoot, easy to care for, if you scratch or ding a panel it is simple to match...etc...
I had an Acura years back and stripped the metallic black paint off to repaint it straight black. It was very nice. Every couple years I would repaint the front and mirrors from the rock chips and nobody would know.
