Not bright enough!
I put in a set of these LED wedge bulbs over the weekend.
And I have to say, I was not impressed at all!
My stock bulbs may not be whiter, but they sure were brighter then the LED's!
My advice: if you are looking for brightness, don't waste your money on these LED's, stick with the glass bulbs.

ok now...
parking lights aren't gonna put out enough light to drive with, just enough light to illuminate the housing it sits in to make your car visible in low lighting and not blind nobody if you're pullin' up in front of them. My bulbs ( ya'll are gonna force me to borrow someone's digital camera ), light my housing nicely, blueish/white glow,... looks cool as hell and match my super plasma 9006's fairly well ( this isn't a perfect world ). The stock ones damn near looked brown next to the plasma blues. The only other suggestion I could come up with is to find another "non-blue" coating.
If i find some other choices, i will post....

I've tried LED's before, All I can tell you is that you need to know what you are looking for, mine first of all burnet out in different times after i installed my HID's but it seems was more like a manufacturing problem bla bla, they are brighter ONLY if you look at them straight on and close to them , they WILL NOT "fill up" the headlight with reflecting light like a regular bulb will, they will rather give you what it looks like a pair of bright white <or you can ge the nice blue but=ilegal> dots coming from your headlights, yet after I turn my headlights they just dissapear, I got back to the set of Hyperwhites from PIAA I had before and I was happier, but like I said , all depends of what look you want on your headlights, but bulbs will give you more light! LED's just better color in an itty bitty beam of light...

Anyone have experiences/pictures with these PIAA H3 bulbs? http://www.autobarn.net/xxxpiah3.html
Here's a listing of their wedge bulbs... http://www.autobarn.net/xxx191series1.html Somewhere on this page is my PIAA wedge bulb. The ones with the blue coating are very dim. I'm intrigued about the Ion Crystal one however....

Okay I just checked the packaging on the wedge bulbs I have and they are 19171, which is the Plasma Blue model. These bulbs and anything below them, I do not recommend. I *might* buy the Ion Crystal ones since they are two models up the scale, but I'm afraid I'm in for more disappointment....

Here's another site with PIAA lights: http://www.hitechimportlighting.com/...Plasma%205000K
This place has $83 H3 bulbs that retail for $120!

i have the ion crystals... they are more yellow than regular but no where near GS yellow. light output improved though. overall, i'm happy with them. it's kind of weird, while looking at the SC, the light doesn't look too yellow, but when you view the fog lights on a white wall, you get a yellow light. but for 52$, I wouldn't reccomened to swap out a perfectly working pair unless a person absolutely needs the benefits of better fogs (like if a person lives in a foggy, rainy, snowy environment where headlights make things worse)
if you would like, i can take some pictures for you tommorow night.

Cool hellasboy, thanks for the info! I was considering trying Narva, CandelPower, and WorldLight bulbs first since they are substantially cheaper...
BTW, has anyone tried overrating their H3s from 55w to 85w? Just curious to if they held up...
