people go nuts for a 97 5-speed, why is everyone giving this guy grief? everyone is focused on criticizing his opinions on his car, 5-speed, sunroof-less, maintained, i'd say 10 grand or more.

i wasnt giving him grief and i agree with you. people are going to bust on others regardless.

But in this market, I think 6-7k is about what he can expect for a green sc, hardtop and all. maybe a little more but probably not much.

But you never know. Wait long enough and someone may be willing.

hey dude dont listen to the nay sayers. i have an autimatic that same color i sold to my uncle. it is very rare.

they only made 120 original 5 speeds in 97....
the color u have is classic green pearl...
assuming they made an even number of each color, which they didnt that year, u own 1 of 15

the car is worth watever someone will pay for it. if u give me the vin ill give u 10k for it and u pay half of the shipping to me... pm me

otherwise id say ur right, enjoy the car and dont add useless mods that will lower the value of it. gl

Depends on your demographics.. Some average joe is gonna say "10 grand plus for a 120,000 mile non-sunroof car?"

Sell it in the classifieds as rare and somebody who is keen to that will pick it up...

Id say post it for 9g's (high price) and settle on the price with the buyer for somewhere from $6750-8000. If its so rare keep it and sell it to the smithonian in a decade :P

I say price at 10k (at the lowest), then decide whether an offer is good enough.
srsly, 6k for a mint, rare 5-speed?!?!?

People must be on drugs. Unless someone is buying it for a project, you may expect reasonable offers such as 7-8k for a 97 that is in top condition. Most rational people can careless if its a rare 97 5 speed hard top bla bla bla..........

For 10k, you can buy something that is much more newer than something that is going to require more repairs.

Thats just my 2 cent.

yes, for 10k, you can buy a newer civic.
or you can buy a lightly used lexus.
econobox, or luxury coupe... econobox.... or luxury coupe....
hmmm.....
yeah, your right, the civic sounds like such a comfortable car to drive

i would say 6,500 the most not a penny less...10k is to much.. for that i can get a swapped sc on boost or a 5spd is300....for a car with no mods 6500 is perfect that's just my opinion

its tempting man... id have to sleep on it cause i am truly in love with the car.

and as for people saying most wont see it as valuable i totally agree that your average joe might not understand the car's worth but i refuse to let this car fall into the hands of an average joe. I want this thing bad and the only thing id do is drive it.

when i manage to get the title signed over to me ill be back with pictures

Not saying I'm interested in buying it (let alone have money for a car), but the most I would spend on an SC that rare would be $7500.
