considering a G35
Hey guys, been thinking about selling one of my' 97 SC300 5 speeds & getting a G35 6-speed. Anyone driven both for comparison purposes? I'm afraid i'll miss the exclusivity of the SC, though. I know the G35 is faster, but was wondering about handling & steering feel. Thanks

I drove my buddy's 6 speed and I loved every minute of it, the suspension is still soft but not as soft as stock sc, 6speed was great! Shifts were a little notchy yet smooth and short just perfect! The only thing about it I felt it was a little bulkier maybe because the windows here higher up or something. Over all to me its a great looking and performing car that can use some susp tuning. Interior was very nice And upscaled... I had a blast!!!

motor is a pain to work on bc of it being a v6 instead of an inline, interiors are basically plastic. on the up side the tranny can hold 400 whp easily with just a clutch upgrade and they now have a bunch of aftermarket parts available. o yes and parts are stupidly overpriced, aftermarket quality is usually not acceptable on these cars

I got a 92 na-t and my brother got an 05 g35 coupe. I like the g35 if I didn't have plans on boosting it cause it's newer.Drives smooth on lowered springs and shocks. But his 05 doesn't even have memory seats and side mirror doesnt go down in reverse like his 04 Acura tl did. I think 05+ g35 comes with LSD though. I would spend money and boost your sc instead of selling it and buying a stock g35. Plus seats have hard cushion and don't recline far back.

I have an 04 6mt sedan. It's an okay overall, nothing to write home about until you start modifying it. Even then the VQ always leaves you wanting more. Especially when it starts burning oil. The interior is crap. There's new creaks and rattles coming up every day. Only nice thing is the steering wheel. The chassis is really the only good thing, once you have big brakes wide wheels and tires along with a good coilover setup. Even then it still feels spongy.
Honestly, I wouldn't recommend buying one. Unless you REALLY want one and you can find one that's very clean, and doesn't burn oil for a ridiculously good price.

g35's are nice but they are everywhere... the sc is a lot more rare... i personally thought about it before too.. but after a long time i thought that i would only let go of my sc300 for a 430.. thats what i ended up with.. in the end.. i still miss my sc300 once in a while..

I can agree with that, at least for where i live in NYC there are a lot of G35's and G37's all over the place. SC's are a bit more rare, i rarely see one in queens or brooklyn.
