Default pic request! sc3/4 with 17" wheels, deep dish (or negative offsets)

does anyone have pics of these or offsets? I just want to see one photo, I dont care which wheel type.

* im not a fan of huge wheels, or expensive tires, Ive searched around and know what 17s look like but i also like aggressive fitment. anyone have anything?

tire price, not much of a fan, lots of people do it, itll raise the car etc. All in all ill probably end up in 18s if i dont find the exact wheels im looking for with the specific offset

18's won't raise it by that much depending on the profile of the tire you go with and also suspension set up. We have persons with sc300/Soarers running 20' tires and they're 2 inches or so off the ground. If you don't find the 17's in the offset you're looking for 18's won't hurt it. With 17's you will need to run a taller tire. Are you going for an extreme drop?

Oh no i surely know thats not a major factor. I'm just saying for additional reasons; in order:

1. tire cost/ availability
2. preference
3. aesthetics

its not big deal honestly. Just if im going with extreme fitment offset and suspension settings on my alignment, id like ridiculously cheap tires since I expect to go through mine reasonably fast. I also like really soft/sticky daily driving.

18s don't raise the car at all, you have to get the correct tire size. Also 18" tires are basically just as cheap as 17" tires. The price difference is minimal. Anyways good luck.

price difference is huge and they definitely raise the car. not being argumentative. I'm just saying its kind of hard to deny raw data...

But yea, Ill probably end up with 18s. Bleh.

front vs rear pricing example:

since no one seems to be posting pics ill help u out... lol there is a thread that says somthing along the lines of "thinking of going to 17's" something like that. there are some examples in there of what the car would look like. i think it looks good if u are on agressive as hell wheels and no lip at all. maybe concave? check it out.

haha not sure what "data" you are looking at. But 18s do not raise the car at all, use a tire calculator. and depending on what brand tires you are looking at, price will change a lot.

225/55/16 = 25.7"
245/40/18 = 25.7"

Ill check out the thread sir! And of course they're the same size if you use a small side wall. Try it with the same aspect ratios

Haha nobody is being bashed because usefull facts are being posted. Damn are people that sensitive? It's the Internet..
And of course the sidewall will be smaller with any larger wheel including 17s. 17s would raise the car as well if you kept the same size sidewall as the stock wheels.

My supra TT's had 17x8.5 with 235/40 S.Drives and its .5mm bigger than my 18x9 with 215/40.

He's not being bashed, just informing him that 18's dont raise the vehicle. Plus 17's dont fill the wheel wells too good, but more power to you for trying them.
