Default Buyer's Remorse???

Idk I'm feeling kind of slighted about buying my SC400. I like it but it doesnt seem like me. I come from a deep General Motors background (Grand Prix,Impala,Tahoe,Blazer) But I dont know what to do. If I sell it will i get what i payed for it or will i just be stuck with it altogether?

What year is your SC400? How many miles? How much did you pay for it?

Honestly, the SC400 is a fantastic car to drive. If it doesn't feel like "you", then you should own something that represents "you". One thing that might change your mind is a supercharger

I know the feeling though. I owned a Berlina black on black S2000 back in 2005 and I miss it everyday. I bought the SC due to the economy and wanting a car that was paid for. Little did we know that the car would cost me more than a monthly car payment. So I'm stuck until I can finish buying things around the house that the woman wants. Happy wife, happy life...right?

I'm not sure if you're a speed junky, but the SC might not be for you. I'll be honest that I hate getting smoked by angry commuters in Toyota Solaras and Honda Accords. Not to mention the occasional *** whooping that my coworkers gives me around some twisty roads around my work (he owns a GTI). So, what do you do with a car that weighs a ton that can't turn? Same think you would do with one of those General Motors cars...make it go fast in a straight line!

It's a 92. 298k on body 180k on engine. i paid $1000 for it. And thats the thing I am a speed junky. I had a supercharged Grand Prix I loved it it. And when i crashed it, I couldnt seem to find one with the money I had. so i bought something I could afford.

If it makes you feel better I've had buyers remorse with my G35 for over two years, though the car has yet to fail me.

The beauty of this platform is that you can make it into just about anything you want. There is always a weight handicap to overcome (New Camaros and Challengers have it WAYYY worse) but anything from a turbo swap to a LSx swap is possible.
The car has an impressive suspension setup compared to even the newest german coupes. Too many cars now run struts with either poor or no camber gain.

You just need to keep in mind that this car has been dumbed down to fit a luxury mid 90's image. Put a little work in and you won't miss the other cars.

Twin turbo it and run low boost. Also add a limited slip differential and some decent shocks / springs and it will feel like you .

If you have buyers remorse over a $1000 vehicle purchase, that's the least of your worries.

To answer your question however, no I do not believe this is the car for you. Owning an SC takes a tad bit of dedication. Sell it and good luck!

A lot of dedication.

Honestly. For a grand you generally get what you pay for. But if this car is still reasonably solid, drive it for a while and base your decision off of more than a gut feeling. Look around this section and see if someone else has anything that interests you. If so, strive to replicate it. If your still not feeling it, move on.

I am surprised no one asked this already (myself included)... but what exactly is the issue with the car?

Is it breaking down? Is it not powerful enough for you (did you not test drive it before you handed over the cash)? What's the problem?

You better sell it man, you will have to work day and night fixing it. If you are iffy about this car, better get rid of it. I love my sc300 and it was in a bad shape, but i love it so much i did A LOT of work on it and its not even close to where i want it to be, yet i still love it.

Get you something else man, you'll do nothing but complain, especially the expensive parts compare to domestics.

this thread is worthless without pictures!

But yea SCS are GREAT besides the boat feel, the support for these is unreal, from modified knuckles and suspension availability to ....mmm whatever else matters to you.
