Actually though, with my current set-up, the tip is right against the rear lip and it hasn't melted at all for over a year now. I'll probably give it a very minute amount of space.

I have a CF OEM style spoiler. There was a recent thread on where to purchase one. Unless by spoiler you are referring to the front lip. In that case it is the 97-00 Wald lip. Not sure where you can buy it
