I just came across this thread and since I never formally introduced myself I will do that now. I'm in Dallas and I just got a 1996 SC400 in Diamond White Pearl. It had about 114500 miles on the clock when I bought it and it was very well taken care of. The previous owner was an aviation mechanic, former marine and works for the DoD.

Hi Everybody,

My name's Neil, i'm still sort of a noob to the inner working of my car, but I have a 95 SC400 in Renaissance Red with black interior, it's my first car , got 194000km on it and i'm from Vancouver. This it's third owner and it's been well maintained, have some big dreams for it, hopefully they're not dreams for long. It has the Nakamichi system, well had it. When i bought the car, i was told the stereo didn't function, I later found out i had the three speakers blown, the amp blown and the passenger side crossover blown -_-. Luckily, all that's been replaced by yours truly, including the sub and deck. but yeah, it's an amazing car and it just looks gorgeous. i'm happy to be here, i hope to learn a lot and do a lot to my car.

The only item not working is the 12 CD changer. I cannot even get the cartridge out of the changer. I have tried everything. Any ideas?

hello. new to the forums, just bought a 1997 sc300 in the
Renaissance Red. 70K miles.

I am having trouble finding a cold air intake kit. I don't
know a lot about cars but want to do a few things to it.
don't want to have to customize anything to put this on,
anybody know where I can get a (somewhat) easy to install kit?
or do I need to piece one together......

thanks for reading this. I will be on this site a lot.

Hey guys my name is Denis and I have been on and off this site since I bought my 95 black sc300 about two years ago and never really did much with the site except enjoy all the knowledge and cars that the site had to offer. However not too long ago my motor actually exploded so I am currently rebuilding the whole car and thought I should look into this site to see if I cant get any deals on parts and just great ideas on what to do with the car in general. I will be posting some pics of the job that is coming along and maybe I can get some feedback.

Unhappy New SWFL SC300 owner...

Hello gents, finally have had time to introduce myself. Bought my first car and its a SC300, ! When lived with my parents I drove a 06 C350 and a 92 LS400 which had over 300k miles. Yup that pretty much made me a lexus winner. Anyways my new car is a 99 sc300 w/ white exterior and tan int. Has stock 2jzge 150k miles and auto of course, oh well time will come. Have had it for over two weeks and still believe they are the most beautiful cars made.

Have many long term plans... as a lot of do with there cars.

But what I have done so far is:
-Process of typical maintenance stuff
-Debadged and painting emblems black
-New e-brake boot
-Replaced trunk struts, and they actually open all the way by themselves.
-Fixed tilt steering
-And couple other miner stuff.

I have been lurkin on here for a couple days and you guys are great and very informative. Will also be learning a lot more from here and its great to finally be on CL.

How my life has changed since owning a SC:
-Was wary at all times when messing with the trunk before new struts
-Girlfriend really jealous, and not because I have a beautiful car but b/c I spend so much time with it, she says.
-Learning a lot of mechanical things from CL that I thought I never would have known
-Oh yeah and have noticed a large amount of decreased time studying for school, and it sucks especially considering I have final exams...

Hey all. Ive been creeping around the boards for a few weeks as my interest for the beloved "poor-mans Supra" has grown. Finally pulled the trigger on one this weekend. I picked up a 1995 SC400 for $800. Normally with a price that low it means it is a piece but this one actually is in great condition. I budgeted for around 4500 but i couldnt pass this one up. It has a Do-luck rear bumper and side skirts so i immediately removed those and went oem. I drove it from the seller's house, right to paint. I will post up pics when i get it back this weekend.

Plans:
97 front with oem lip
97 skirts
is300 wheels
finish the black interior that was started (oem, not painted)
97 tails

Ive been in the import scene for a while, especially when i was in miami. This is my first taste of Toyota/Lexus and i gotta say im impressed. Im too old (28) for fart-cans and neons so it will be tastefully modded.

Hello SC World, I'm Robbie! I have always been a fan of the Lexus SC300/400 and just purchased my first one last night. Its a white 98' SC300 with a 101,000 miles. The exterior & interior are in great condition and it's even rocking an early 90's car phone. I look forward to reading and learning more about the SC's on here. Attached are couple picture of the new car...

My Wish List:
Tinted Windows
Clear Side Markers
In-Dash Double-Din Navigation/DVD
Staggered Wheels

Default Hello All!!!

I just picked up a 92 SC400 for my wife for Christmas. This is the only car in her life that she ever actually commented on so I figured I couldn't go wrong. From what I can tell it is original with 128K miles. Runs and rides nice and quite so it will stay stock.
There are a couple of electrical gremlins that I will need to fix eventually hence the membership here. I have been involved is multiple forums over the years and found the experience on the board invaluable.
