Hey everyone, the names JP and i recently acquired my uncle's '98 sc400 with just under 100k miles . Before this car, I was driving a '99 Lexus Es300. Unless a 4-door is needed, the Sc will definitely be my daily driver from now on. It's such an awesome ride! Looking forward to driving this car everyday!
(p.s. I've read and will use the search button and post in the proper forum.)

I am a new member and trying to learn how to navigate.my name is billy and I have a97 sc 300 white pearl. get compliments all the time. I have been haveing some problems with ac light flickering when the ac is not running also I broke a stud on my wheel when I was torgueing and I learned A lesson aout to much pressure on the stud. I was nervous about my brakes so when the dealer told me the price of calipers I said it is time for me to roll of my sleeves and start useing some tools. and I learned how to take them off and how to put my own pads on. any body know hoe to replace the lug stud when it brakes? god bless

New SC400
Hey I just bought my sc400 a few monhs ago! I had one a few years back but unfortunately a rolled it... But haha this time around im a little more experienced. Its a 92 w/ 85k miles and i got a good deal on it and it is in mint condition! So far i bought some 20" helo 844. the tires are nitto neos w/ 225/30/20 in front and 245/30/20 in the back! I had the car striaght piped w/ an X-Pipe and Two cans in the rear. Other upgrades that ive purchased but havent yet installed are a Seibon TSII carbon fiber hood, ED duraflex V-speed Full body kit, black halo projector headlights, and black altezza taillights. It should all be on in a month or so when i get it painted high gloss black! Its also lowered and eventually will be tinted to 5 all around! That pretty much takes care of all the exterior but bow i wanna start workin under the hood! I've got lots of questions and after reading from this site all the time i knew this would be the best place to get the answers i need!

Hello my name is John. I live in Philadelphia (South Philly) and recently picked up a 98 SC 300. I was browsing this forum for a while but didn't want to post anything without getting a Lexus first. I was looking for a used car and came across a bunch from a 3000GT to even a Maxima. I was going to get an ES or LS at first until I saw an SC when I was at work and pretty much fell in love with the looks of the car. I'm glad I got one because it just plain out drives amazing compared to the Nissan Rogue that I used to drive all of the time.
The car is White with 166k miles; as for the rims I have no idea what kind they are as the seller put them on before he sold the car. They look like 16" I just don't know the specs for them. The pictures may be a little low on quality because I took them with my Blackberry. The first picture was the photo the seller posted, plus it gives a better view of the car.

Newbie maybe?
Hey guys love the forum and have already learned a lot just reading the posts. I am currently haggling the final price on a 95 SC400 with a local dealer and wanted some of you guys expert opinion. Does $4,500 sound good for this year make with 89,000 miles and seven previous owners (checked the carfax)? The car runs strong with some electrical issues like the radio, AC and sun roof not having power. I hope they are just minor problems but I don't want my desire to finally own a car I have wanted for years to lead me into a money pit. I live on Maui so SC's are hard to come by so any advise would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

Hi from OZ
Hi,
I live in Australia and have just joined your forum.
I am the owner of a 1991 6M2 Dark Green Metallic UZZ32 which here and in Japan is a Toyota Soarer(same shape as your SC400). The 32 was only produced for the Japanese market and is one of only 873 produced that has computer controlled hydraulic suspension. The 4 litre V8 is the powerplant used in these.
The suspension has yaw and 'G' sensors incorporated which give a very flat ride when cornering and has no dive when the brakes are applied. The system works extremely well and the hydraulics can be rebuilt as I have just done with mine.
I have added Work Rezax Roar wheels 18"x9" front and 18"x10" on the rear. Tyres are Michelin 245/40 and 275/35 Pilot Sport 2.
The car has done 130k km and is in as new condition inside and out.
I have my eyes on a s/hand 32 engine/transmission that I intend adding a wipple supercharger to and some other mods as well in the future.
