Hi everyone the name's Will. I just recently bought a 92 SC400 for a killer price but that killer4 price comes with its problems. It needs an alternator, some minor body work, and alot of interior care. But this is all new to me becuz I come from the GM world. I most recently owned a 00 Pontiac Grand Prix GTP until i totalled it. She was my heart and I miss her dearly but i figured I'd go for a change and I always liked the SC's after seeing my Sgt. with one. I come from a lot of Grand Prix forums so I hope you guys can make my experience here a great one!!! Thanks

Some pics of my GTP:

Hi my name is Randy And I currenlty own a 1995 sc400. The car itself is diamond white with tan leather interior and right now it has some 16 inch lexus wheels . I recently painted the emblems black and tinted the taillights, also I have added a k&n filter along with the BFI intake. the car besides that is stock . it has 145xxx miles and runs great just had serpentine, timing belt and water pump recplaced and replaced the plugs with some double platinum spark plugs (DENSO).

Hola.

I am tofubento, I am in the PNW. I just picked up a '92 champagne/gold sc300. It has 165k on it, and needs some work on it...water pump, timing belt, power steering line replaced, wiring sorted for climate/radio, new wiper/signal cluster, headlights (bracket is broken on one, and fogged to hell) several bulbs replaced and fuses put in. It has a straight body/frame. Not a bad pick up for 1.5k purchase price. I have alot of plans for the car, since it is the daily driver, I am not going to go overboard like my 240s. I am going to keep it a simple low, clean, cruiser. But first...get it running 100%.

Hey guys I've been a bit of a lurker so it's time to introduce myself. I've got a 1JZ W58(boo) 92 SC300. Swap is solid, I need to do some interior and suspension work though. I've also owned an NA MK3 Supra, a 1JZ MK2 that was very clean but stolen :'( and plenty of other cars outside of the Toyota/Lexus world
I've done a good amount of cleaning to the engine bay since this photo
And yes I filled the tires with air lol

On to the pics

Hi guys. Just joined the sc300 club. I used to have a 97 Maxima, and loved it very much, but my neighbor hit it while it was parked in front of my house and totaled it. So....I went and bought a 95 SC300 for a pretty good deal. Currently I'm working on getting the bushings replaced so once that's done, I hope to run this thing for a looooong time.

My name is keith and i have been into domestics for quite some time. my budget and my patience for driving a old, beaten car have traded places. having owned only FWD cars, I was directed to the SC300 by a 240sx fanatic as a more viable option for mods, potential power, and overall build quality, but most of all, because it is a mid sized Coupe. hopefuly in the next coming weeks ill have a SC300 of my own.

Greetings CL,

Name's Shawn (everyone calls me by my last name, Snoddy). Got my 92 SC w/1j swap a few months ago, although it broke on me two weeks after owning it (threw a code 13). I originally got it as a daily driver so I wouldn't have to daily my Z33 drift/street car but obviously couldn't use it for that after purchasing it.

Hers's a few pics of me sliding my Z.

That was my last event in the Z. It was really difficult to see the Z go, it was all I had for over 3 years, but I had to sell it in order to buy my 06 Cummins 3500 and support my SC build.

Now with my Z gone the SC will be set up as the drift/street car. It has a lot more potential per dollar vs. Z33's so I'm happy about that. Just have to get it fixed and going again.

Replaced cps sensors, had capacitors in stock ecu replaced, checked and double checked wiring, no luck. It does have an AEM FI/c however. Thinking this may be the culprit so I'm just going to eliminate that all together and go standalone. Not sure which one to go with as of yet (if anyone has insight lmk), want to know who's going to tune it first.

Been lurking lately and this seems like a decent place to learn and chat about these cars.

HEY! My names Taylor, I've been lurking on this site for awhile. Sorta funny story about when I bought my SC400. I originally was going to buy a 1997 SC from a used car dealer let me drive it to my "private mechanic" which was a Toyota dealership. When i got there I was just walking around looking at the cars and started to talk to a sales guy and he was trying to get me into a more luxury Acura, but I didn't like that much. But when we were walking out he stop me and said a car just like the one i drove over was being traded as we spoke and it happened to be a 1999 golden pearl SC400. I was already pleased with the performance of the SC300 driving over to the dealership (I took a country road that was between the towns), but to hear it had a V8. I fell in love right there. and ended up buying that.

So i guess long story short i drove a car i was going to buy to look at another car i wanted to buy! lol

anyway here are a few pictures of it

Edit: the mod list isn't huge at all, but over time i'm going to maintenance and modifying it to my liking.
some sort of HID lights i cant tell what kind
7 inch pioneer touch screen stereo
the person before me cut a hole next to the panel next to the steering wheel and it has a switch there. not hooked to anything....
i guess chrome plated stock rims
that is about it there are no engine mods or anything else
