I agree, I wont do any mods to body, I think they look great they way they are. I would tint it, maybe drop it an inch and possibly put wheels on mine, but nothing like 20" chrome wheels or anything. As far as body kits, im out, not trying to look like fast and furious. I love the luxury Lexus look. The only mods I have planned is a Trans/2JZGTE swap. I wouldnt mind a little modest power, like 300-350hp range.

I don't know nearly as much about mods as most of the folks on this site, so this may sound like an idiotic question, but I'm curious: couldn't doing something like swapping out the engine end up a disaster, or is it a pretty standard procedure? I would hate to try to have something like that done and end up killing the reliability or ruining the car altogether...

I love the silver/black combo. If I couldn't find red, that was my next choice.

Hello all! I am a looooooooooong time lurker, and a soon to be owner of an SC. i am very picky about my cars when I am in the purchasing market, so it may still be a little while before I find that "Right" one. I already have a plan in mind for it, and can not wait to get started. Love this forum and the wonderful vibe that is present.

Well, it's a big job if you dont know what your doing, but these cars share the same engine as the Supra Twin Turbo. So it is very common for people to put a turbo on these motors since they are built to handle them or swap a Supra turbo motor in them. If you start looking around on this site, there are alot of write ups of people doing this and having a very reliable turbo SC300.

New member, hope to be posting pictures of my 93 sc400 in the next few days, I usually drive a Mazdaspeed6, but some M3 rear ended me so for the next week or so the sc400 it is. I have a few questions, and it seems I will have no trouble finding answers here

New guy here. I'm just a blue collar working guy, factory work, just paid off my 1992 Lexus SC400 that I fell in love with. It was on a buy here pay here lot with a bad rep, and it was rough. AC and radio screens were burned, the speedo didn't work, etc. Blower motor out. Leather seats were also trashed, I could go on. It was ROUGH. But, I loved it, and bought it anyhow.

Long story short, wrecked it after insurance lapsed, have it it the shop right now, when I get it out, I'd like to get it to like new condition. Watch for my help me thread soon lol.

Can you mount the cornering/fog lights on this kit? I love how clean it looks. How was the fit?

Those kits fit like Crap. Only an experienced body man should touch those ebay body kits. I bought it. And sold it for a 170 dollar loss.
