I have a simple and maybe dumb question for you guys. I tried searching, but I haven't found this topic. Anyone know how to remove the shift **** from a '99-00 SC? It looks like it probably just unscrews, but I don't want to force it if that's not the right way. My shift **** is plain leather, and I want to replace it with one that has wood trim.

Hey guys, my name is Tony, and I'm from Kansas City. I bought tuterz old SC back in October and have been lurking a bit on here made a couple posts. I haven't changed much of the car yet, but I have put in new aluminum steering rack bushings in and what a difference they made. I have a younger 2jz I'm close to swapping img in and after that I hope to do coilovers and fix up some of the interior. I'm a tech a Toyota here so that helps with buying parts lol I hope to become a better member of this community cuz I love this car much more than the Jdm front teg I had before. Here's a couple pics the day I drove it home.

Hi,
My name is Maury and I have a '92 SC400. Will post a photo soon. I have made the following modifications to date: Lowered with a spring kit bought on Ebay, forget the name but they were a few dollars less then Eibach and they work fine. Drilled and slotted rotors front and back with ceramic pads. 17" wheels with 225 50s front and 245 45s rear. Cold air intake. Front lip ( second one, fiberglass and I just have to be careful in parking lots but looks better than stock). Now to the important stuff. Planning on putting on 18" wheels and tires soon. Not going to be too agressive, probably 9" rears and 8" fronts with 245 40 fronts and 265 35 rears. Been reading the threads and if I keep close to the stock offset it seems I will not have to worry about clearance or rubbing. Just got wind of the fact that it appears I can uprate the brakes without having to spend 2 grand on Brembos by using brakes from either a Supra or an LS400. That's what I need to figure out, also if the rears can be done or just the fronts. Obviously want to have a cosmetic match to my drilled and slotted rears if only fronts can be used from the Supra or LS400. I will keep reading but if anyone has any advice, I would appreciate it.
Thanks

Hello
My name is Mike and I purchased a 93 SC 400 about two months ago for $1000.00. Runs better than my 04 Passat (anyone got a match?) looks a bit rough...needs some cosmetic work, otherwise love it.

Whats happenin fellas -
I'll be honest, I did not begin my day looking for this car. I totaled my 2002 Maxima in November and have been keeping my eyes peeled on Craigslist for the past 2+ months with the insurance company cash, just waiting to make a move on a great opportunity - I've missed out on a few that really pissed me off... but good cars for sale have a way of keeping on coming if you're patient...
That said, I happened to spot a 1992 SC 400 with 70,800 original miles from the original owner (older gentleman) that he bought and serviced at the same dealership up until the day that he sold it to me.
What do ya think??

Hello all my name is Jaymie. Im in Salt Lake City. Just got my first Lexus. Its a 92 sc400. Its the light brownish color with the brown/tan interior. Came with some 18 inch Enkei wheels and some not so awesome magnaflow exhaust . Other than that its stock with some front end damage. I purchased the car for $1000 and the guy was nice enough to sell me all of his parts from his parts car as well. I look forward to meeting and chatting with some awesome people on here. I will also be waiting patiently for a month to start buying, trading, and selling parts on here.
