Hello everyone! My name is Kevin aka K.J.. I'm gonna be picking up a 1994 SC400 on Friday from my friends dad. I've been lurking around for a couple of months and am loving all the SC's I have seen so far. I was looking to grab this car since last summer but my friends sister was badly in need of a car, although she was going to just use it for a week or two until she got her some new wheels, she decided to keep it for a while longer to do some things to surprise her dad. When she got the SC it had 180,000 miles on the engine but she had it rebuilt with brand new parts (it now has 500 miles on it) to surprise her dad. I was provided receipts of the rebuild which will go with my records of maintenance. Now that the SC is back on the market I am not letting her go anywhere! It's in very good shape and I think it's a score for the price I'm getting her for. The only thing that is wrong is the fuel gauge does not register with how much gas is in the car, the needle is stuck on empty but the low fuel light does come on, which the floater might be stuck so it might just require dropping the fuel tank and pulling it back up.

I have plans for this car such as a 97-00 body conversion, new wheels, drop her a little, maybe an engine swap eventually, among other things. Any suggestions on other things I should do with her are welcome.

I couldn't wait until Friday once I got the car so I decided to introduce myself tonight. I have a few pics of when I checked it out and test drove it last week. I will post more pics when I pick her up on Friday. Anyways, that's enough talking here are a few pics of her:

Hey I'm Vincent. I've been thinking about getting an Sc300 for a while now and they ha e always been on that special list of cars I would like to own. I recently got I to an accident that got me thinking more about safety and so I ask how safe is this car? I saw no crash ratings but I'm sure some of you may have stories to tell. I currently have a 240 and think the sc would be a much safer option

I haven't been in a wreck in my '99 SC300, but it sure rides solid, feels solid.

Whats Up Kevin. I had the same problem with my fuel gauge on my 92 sc300. I filled her up to max with fuel and it fixed the problem. That Might work for you.

New guy here. Just got my 96 SC300 auto yesterday. It's a little rough around the edges, and has 175K miles, but she still runs and drives great. Glad to be here!!!

Smile New member Intro

Hey Club Lexus, just recently bought a 1995 sc400.(My very first car haha). Has 214k miles on her, but still drives like a champ. Bought it for $1000 for a friend of mine, drives well and man is it fun to drive. But she's not completely perfect, there are some things that needs fixing like a broken fuel gauge, shredded oil pan bolt hole, antenna does not go up or down. I just dropped off the car at the mechanic today to get the fuel gauge fixed and have the oil pan looked at and see if it could be re-threaded.

Just wondering, my car stalls when I turn off the A/C, does anyone know what the problem could be? It doesn't bother me but I'd just like to get it fixed in the future.
