I'm assuming the "tech" didn't set the belt right and it bent like all the valves. I would take the reman motor only if the dealer gives you an extended warranty

Well hi every one nauta here. Iv been creeping in the forms for a good time now figured it was time to step up and say hi. I just purchased a 1993 lexus sc300 got a great price for it but she needs some love. Body is pretty rough but engine and tranny run strong. Thanks to these forms I have already pulled the code and found that i have a bad transmission shift solionid. so working on a fix for that.. thanks for the help and for the help that im sure will happen in the future.

I've been lurking trying to get as much info. as I can. My ride has high miles but is in mint condition, i'll post pics very soon. its like new inside and out awsome car. Now I want more power anjd have already done a couple of things n I'll share when my pics are posted..I look fowaed to hearing some feedback on my car from all of you guys. lots of knowlege here..

Hey Ladies and Gents,

My name is obvious, check my SN! I am a member of LS1Tech.com LSXNation.Net Hachiroku.net and now Clublexus woot woot! I live in the Portland Oregon metro area, and my car is a 115k mile 92 SC400 in Diamond White Pearl that my late uncle bought used around 1997. He suffered a massive heart attack while driving the SC and passed away in it while driving with his buddies from San Jose to San Fransisco. So the car will remain in my family's possession for ever. Its a great car and I love the 1UZ! I might have to swap one in my TE72 one day.

I also wanted to thank every one here for posting extremely helpful info that fixed the problems we have been having wid the SC lately:

Hello everyone! Picked up my 1992 SC300 5-speed in mid March. Been lurking the forums for info and finally decided to join up. Car came with Supra seats, Origin body kit, Tenzo 18x8 rims, kenwood touchscreen, NRG quick release wheel, mishimoto radiator, Kaaz 2 way LSD, and the previous owner painted it IS300 grey metallic (from what he said). I plan on putting the OEM bumpers back on and painting her black. As soon as I sell my Honda though, I will be doing a full Supra swap. GTE, V160, and 220mm 3.13 rear end. Car drives great right now though and is definitely a head turner. Wish I had bought one a long time ago.

hello everybody! My name is Usiel Vargas, I was born in LA in 1988 moved to Texas when I was 4ish?? I can't remember haha.

My older brother let me take over his 92 sc300 na-t build 2 years ago and I have loved every second of it, despite the many headaches. It was a stock 2jz with the stock w58 tranny. the best pull the car made was 353 hp before I seized the turbo lol got it fixed then I drove it for a while and then at a drift event she started knocking

The car is being built to drift. It is on Stance GR+ coilovers, has been almost completely gutted, I am in the process of dropping a 1jz in it, keeping the w58 tranny with a stage 4 clutch and lightened flywheel, I know about them being "weak" but I have taken great care of it and hope it lasts me at least a year of competitive driving. Front upper adjustable camber arms, rears on the way, and many other suspension upgrades to come. I'll update you all later with the build thread

Hey everyone! Just finally purchased my first car, a 1993 Lexus SC400, gold! Needs some minor things here and there engine and tranny pull strong!!! no lights or CEL! got it for $800 and so glad the guy was even decent enough to clean it up for me! It's gold, will post pics soon! Can't believe i got her!!!! lol
