Hello CL! =]
Well lets see now,
My name is Keo Encinas and I live in Australia now, moved here from the States, West Virginia to be exact, to live with my girlfriend. I'm 23 years young and have never been into cars :| UNTIL DUN DUN DUNNNNNN The past few months where I have been searching for my own personal car after I bought my Girlfriend one for Christmas. Most cars were boring and repetitive in my crusade for one worthy of my taste..Being in Australia i'd say 70-80% drive commodores, and ford falcon xr6's..they're everywhere. Then...this beauty revealed itself to me. A 1991 Lexus Sc400, with just 103,000 kilometers, thats just over 60k miles for 4,500 grand, I knocked 500 from the dealer. It had been sitting in a garage for a little over 8 years, the previous owner was a little old greek lady, who stuck this atrocious LOUI VUITTON cover over the center console, shifter and steering wheel, and only drove it on weekends apparently. I've done some research on this car and have seen mostly good things. I will be picking it up from the dealer in just under 2 weeks, where I will post pics. It's in decent condition aesthetically and mechanically perfect. The paint is Champaign so that has to go....haha, plus all the scratches on it. I figured I would learn from this car and make it a project one. I've read a few introductions and responses and you guys seem legit and nice. So I know I will have questions, and hoping in the near future you people can help me.
Thank you Very Much! - New Future Owner of a Lexus Sc400 Keo Encinas.

Hey guys, sorry that my name is Nissansota but I kinda like to keep my forum names the same so yep.
Some how I've decided to purchase a 1992 SC400 from a friend, it has some damage to the rear end and am not sure what to do with it. I don't know if I should sell it, part it out or just drive it.
Here are some pics of it
You can give me your opinion on it, looks save able.
Right now I currently drive a 1995 Nissan 240sx w/ sr swap
Always was a fan of the sc300/400 cars and now that I own one I'm not sure what to do haha.

Hey, my name's Sean and I just bought a 95' SC300. I fell in Love with the 1st gen SC a few years back when I first saw the "SC's Gone wild" video. Im currently driving a an 01 Maxima but Im looking to get rid of it once Im done w/ the body work on the SC. It needs a bit of work but Im excited to start building it nonetheless. Im also planning on swapping out the motor for a younger 2JZ from the Japanese motor depot so that I can have her running like new.

Turtingas (lituanian word for wealthy)
So as you may of figured out I'm Lithuanian (last name Sova but my friends call me Hick)
My vehicle of choice is a 1999 Lexus GS400...With, um...well the fu***r runs, okay!?!
Bought the vehicle back in 2009 from an electrical engineer (Dilbert). Of course nothing was wrong with it then and have since wrecked it 3 times (one pig, one doe and a pesky metal post). I just want to say how much I LOOOVE zero deductables and Geico! Kinda feel like a teenager on prom night when I see myself getting into an accident now Cant wait for all 'dem new shiny parts to adorn my car...on the outside, the interior looks like a family of rats used the captain's chair as a make shift lavatory/home...Man what efer's rats are! Kinda like that damn wolf spider that rides under my seat as well...I think they're related!
Anyhow, I hope to be a Lexus man for life as I've never seen anything beatin' so hard and still spooning my *** in the morning.
p.s. no women were hurt in the 40 years it has taken me to admit....I'm a vehafelic Lexus abuser...Don't think I've looked at one over 18 to date (sniff)
Thank you all for your support,
Hick.

On board...
Greetings, all. I'm new to CL so please be gentle...
I own a 1995 SC400 ("Renaissance Red" - or, as I like to call it, "Speeding ticket red") that I've had for about four years. It had 58K original miles on it when I bought it, 81K now. I've recently retired and look forward to a few serious road trips in it but I just can't get used to the idea of having faith in the reliability of an 18-year-old vehicle. I hope to get over it soon. This well may be the last car I'll ever want to own - just have to address the little quirks that have developed over the years. I may also be interested in tweaking it a bit (since I have the feeling that there's the potential for untapped power under the the hood) although I myself have near zero expertise in internal combustion engines or their associated systems.
(Just wondering - Have you all discovered the fun of interstate exit/entrance ramps?)
