SC300/SC400 New Member Thread! Introduce yourself here!

Whats going on CL my name is Jay, I'm new to this site and to Lexus. After years of wanting to own one I finally acquired a 1992 SC 400, picked it up for $700 and for that price I couldn't pass it up. I will only post pictures of the outside due to the previous owner ******* the inside out. So before any mods are done to my car I will be doing a full maintenance overhaul to get it running good, then work on the inside then working my way to the outside. Here is a quick picture of my purchase, hope you all enjoy.

Everyone's cars looks so nice and new. Mine needs new paint, new motor, new interior, and a new tranny. =[ anyways I have a 94' auto SC300. I think it's silver but the guy I bough it from described it as greyish green....

New to Lexus
What's up Club Lexus my name is Greg and Yesterday I traded My 2001 Acura Integra For a Gold on gold on tan 93 Sc300. Other then not being able to get it from running super rich and smoking out of the tailpipes... I thoroughly enjoy this car, the interior is flawless Everything works in it. The only other owner was an older gentleman that only put 61,435 miles in 19 years and he took great care of her(other then the smoke). My Sc and I look forward to growing old on here, so make room we don't plan on going anywhere anytime soon.

just bought a turd of a sc300 1994 atx, but it's a great starting platform. I come from the turbo FWD world so it's a little different for me.
interior is crushed seats torn to **** etc
but it has a good running 1jz-gte, 175 compression across all 6, walbro 255, misimoto IC, and full hard pipes and t-bolts.
i am going to throw a hx35 at it and see what happens. Monday it will be on megasquirt v3 and the full single swap by next weekend. I got it for $3k. i'm sure i'll blow the trans but i dont wanna build it until i break it. Should be a fun car.
my old car life:
hx35 7blade on meth. She made 613 on high boost. just got tired of FWD. It is the same engine as the srt-4 and the getrag g288 5 speed.
garage wall
holset
rebuilt it myself, had it balanced at a local truck shop

Soarer fanatic
Hi all I'm Jack, I'm from Australia but thought I may as well join up and see how you guys roll across the world with your SC's.
I Purchased my first Soarer in December last year and loved it dearly up until may this year, I had some problems with it and didn't have the time to renew her life. I sold it to a good friend who has already sourced a new 1jz and is restoring it now.
I got my new Soarer last week and have been cleaning it up ready to take in and have all of the seals changed and gaskets and a full service as well. It has only 60,000 Kim's on the clock and the 1JZ is in great nick. Anyways I'm starting off with a Greddy FMIC and some new rims and coil overs. Some work VS-XX's and Tein super streets or monoflex. Then exhaust, boost control and hks 264 intake and 272 exhaust cams and crower titanium valve springs and retainers. Thats the plan for the rest of the year. I'll post pics soon

New To CL - New SC Owner
I'd like to introduce myself. I've loved the SC body style since they first came out in '92. (Yes, I'm more than old enough to remember when they were brand new.) Finally bought one just over a month ago. Believe it or not, I found a black 1994 SC400 with 13,123 original miles on it (on eBay no less). The car was originally purchased new by Gene Snow, the top fuel dragster driver, in Texas. He drove it for about 10,000 miles the first 2 years he owned it, then put it in a temp & humidity controlled warehouse for the next 14 years. A dentist from Lebanon, PA then bought it in Sept 2010. He drove it just over 2,000 miles in the time he owned it.
I picked it up on July 6th in PA & drove it back to Canton, MI (between Detroit & Ann Arbor). I've already put more than 3,000 miles on it since July. I'm driving it everyday to my job at the Toyota Technical Center just south of Ann Arbor. What a sweet ride! I no longer dread the 40 min drive to & from work. I smile the whole way!! I'll post some photos when I have some that meet the file size restrictions. Underhood looks showroom new & the car still smells new. I look forward to a LOOOONG association with the SC & CL.
