Hey, My names Kress im 16 and I picked up a 92 Sc400 .I got this car for only $1,700 and its only got 112,000 miles!
I am in the process of modifications, So far I have a set of TI 18 inch rims with tokico blue struts and Tanabe lowering springs (not installed when this picture was taken). I am going to get my windows tinted in about a week or so, I love this car and will look forward to doing more modifications.

Answer to your recent post: I plan on lowering it and getting some wheels, (preferably SC430 discs), to cover those crap wheels. Happy modding!

Figured I would jump on here, just started a build thread - a long way to go with mine but it has the hard part done:
92SC300 with 1JZ-GTE VVTI swap done by GRIP in Orlando, mated to the Auto. I have the stock harness for a 5 speed so will probably switch it over in the next year or so, but have a Spare Auto tranny so we will see LOL>
It needs a TON of body work and interior work, so wish me luck there, have almost all the parts to include TRD Seats to go in the front, and multipl sets of interior pieces I can die if I would like to.
Anyway - I'm here![Smilie](https://www.clublexus.com/forums/images/smilies/smile.gif)

Hello my name is Dan. I am currently a technician in training, still on my first year. However, I do have about 3 years of "servicing" cars under my belt, mostly just in my garage in the back with jeeps. It may not be anything intense, but I still have a very broad general idea of cars. I would consider I am ahead of many people in my class as far as knowledge and experience. Other than that, I don't have much more to say. I'm hoping to become a Lexus technician, I don't care what anyone says about becoming a technician. It's what I love and what I want to do. I may be going into the T-Ten program, if not I already have places lined up who are ready to give me an internship as soon as I pass my first ASE test this January. Unfortunately I do not own a Lexus, I have no where near the money to own a Lexus haha. I drive a 1981 Jeep CJ-7 that gets terrible mpg. And that's basically all I have to say. I love Lexus, Audi as well as Jeeps.

SSSOOOOOOO.......................... I know that this is a forum that you can learn how to fix just about anything on your Lexus BUT does anyone know if there is a manual (Chilton, Haynes, etc) for the SC model Lexus. I haven't had any luck finding one. I know that alldata has an online version but I don't always have a computer handy in my garage! (Or alongside the road....or where ever I may be attempting to do my repair!!!) LOL Any info would be greatly appreciated.
Most of those dealers like BMW or Lexus or anything along that line will not give you a manual to repair it unless you work for them. They are extremely strict. This is what I was told. But good luck if you find one!

Hi, my name is Nikko. I've got a '96 5spd sc300. I've been searching the forums for years and reading a lot but I finally decided to make an account and actually contribute to the forums. I got the basics down so far: Coilovers, CAI, rims, and a bomex kit I'm fixing up right now. I hope to continue learning and help others learn like I have from these forums over the years.
Thanks for reading

Not new to Lexus, but new to the SC.
Since freshman year in HS (for me, that was 1996) Ive wanted one of these cars. By the time I could afford one (lol) I had kids and bought the wife a GS. Finaly, after getting rid of my last project (a DSM... never... again) I was able to pick up a new toy:
introducing, to the CL world, my 'new' 1996 Lexus SC300 or 'Hannah'.
So far, Ive had to replace the cap, plugs, wires and rotor. Ill be doing tires tomorrow, and while the cars in the air look and see how bad replacing the steering rack is gonna be.
Id like to leave her (relatively) stock. maybe upgrade the stereo to the Nakamichi variant, and do an 3 spoke steering wheel swap. I need to find some seats and a spoiler as well.
Ill be posting pics as soon as I can
