Glad to become apart of the forum, I snagged me a Lexus Sc400 on a good trade. When i got it the door panels were broken in several places and the driver door actuator stopped working. The guy i got it from didnt really know what was wrong with it and i didnt either at the time till we traded. I got home and googled. Found the forum and it helped me fiber glass the door panels back together (first time ive fiber glassed and it done alright. ) I found an actuator thread, ordered one off ebay and thanks to the forum i had a door that would open within an hour or so. Happy with my new (to me) car now.

Howdy!
I am the proud owner of a '92 SC400 I pruchased from the original owner. In order to buy the car, I did under the guise of buying it for my wife. Whoda thunk she would take to the car like she did. She drives it 2-3 times per week to the store and such, so she is happy nonetheless. When I purchased this car, the previous owner was a retired Doctor who drove it to the office and back a few times per week, and the parked it in the extra garage for about five years. He was wanting to sell it because his grandson wanted it, and he was afraid to let him have it. Now I'm afraid to let my grandson use it. The car was Lexus/Toyota maintained, and is near mint. There are, of course, a few issues with this car, only due to age and not abuse. First, the driver's seat is slap wore out, and needs new leather. He was a big feller, so that figgures. If there is anybody out there who has a line on new seat covers, a heads up would be appreciated. And, the tach speedo needles do not light up. No, I do not want to send the instrument cluster out to anybody. I have already had it out and solved the problem I had with the temp gauge, and re-lamped it with no problem. I have read everything about the problem, and the fixes range from replacing the capacitors, to using rear window defroster repair paint on the needles for the repair. Any help here would be most appreciated. Other that that, I want to keep it orginal with the exception of maybe a new cold air intake, and a set of new pipes.

My name is JD and i finally got me an SC300, after having HONDAS (many of them) then decided to change for sliders, (RWD) decided to sell my clean S13 and found out that i needed another car in my life (like it always happens) i started lurking for e30's and decided that it was time for a lexus. many visits to this site later and research, found out that this babys with last you forever with proper maintance and fell in love. After doing many research, i came accross this beauty and found out its rare in this color combo.

125k original miles (checked carfax and it had 110k recorded miles in 2010) so it checked out specially when i bought it from a guy that had bmws and range rovers parked in his huge house, he bought it for his son and the son didnt like it and bought his son a sentra (yeah i know it doesnt make sense but you had to see his son lololol) car was parked for the 2 years he had it and he decided it was just sitting taking space. As soon as i saw it when and bought it right away.

The stolen pics
well he did write in the description that he was using the pics just to show what his looked like and even put the name of the owner of the pics, now the owner is acting like he has to defend himself and prove that its his car. all people need to do is learn to read, now that being said he should have asked to use the pics first but no need to be in a frenzy

Hello Everyone! I'm new to the forum, but have had the 400 for 3 years. It's my gf's daily driver, and I rarely get behind the wheel. It's not that I don't like the car, I love it. We've taken it for several long road trips, and I can't think of a nicer way to travel down the highway. We got the car for her. It's her Baby.
Until lately it's been very reliable, but now it has some problems. I'm hoping that you all can help me sort this out. I'm sorry I have selfish reasons for joining, but we really like the car, and hope to keep it for a while. I'll try to address these issues in the proper forum.
I've never really considered modifying the car, but after looking at some of the gallery pictures I might change my mind. There are some very cool rides on here!
Here's the car.
