New to this and I need a tranny for a 95 sc400

My husband and i have been huge fans of the SC models since they came out. We purchased our first Lexus SC300 in 2000. It was a 92. We just purchased another SC300 this time a 99 back in January of this year.To make a really long story super short, we just recently did a swap of everything from the 99 into the 92 body ourselves! By the way the original 92 engine had over 336,000 miles on it (was still running when we did swap)!

My name is Zack and I just recently picked up a 1993 sc300 5 speed. I traded a 1995 honda civic for it, so I think i got the good end of the deal lol. Was never very much into Toyota and didn't know much about it, I'm more of a mazda guy. My other car is a 1988 mazda rx7 convertible. I drove the sc300 home on an hour trip back to my town, and I fell in love. These things ride so smooth! I'm afraid to lower it because I don't want to lose that ride quality. But here are a couple pics of her




Definitely looks like it needs lowered and the chrome is a bit flashy for me but I've only had it for 2 days. Planning on plasti-dipping the rims and the emblems on it.

My names Caleb, i just purchased my first car (the SC300 you see in the pictures) Its a Soarer, with a beautiful 2jz-gte, twin turbo(stock). I honestly have no idea why anyone would want any other car. Other then being beautiful, driving smooth and having the powerhouse of a monster from hell, this car is perfect. Hopefully in the next year or so i'll have all of the work done i want. Going to repaint her either black (and fix the body) or another color(any recommendations? someone mentioned lime green, and chrome so far) currently i'm undecided.
Currently stock twins with a stock 4 speed auto.

Hey guys im new to the toyota scene, ive owned nissans and bmw's most of my life but ive always loved the 2jzgte motor(who hasn't)... I drifted and built sr20's and owned countless s13's s14's zenki and kouki, 240z's, bmw 330ci, sc300 factory 5speed, and now my latest project is a 92 sc300 with an aristo 2jzgte swap... im looking forward to learning and building my new project with the knowledge of this forum... thx for looking guys!!!

Yo bros I'm Wes from PA. I just bought a 92 sc400 which came with a Bomex body kit, 20 in Status chrome rims, 245 Nexen tires, Superior performance series exhaust, JVC head unit, 6.5 in Kenwood speakers, OEM Pioneer sub and amplifier. Car is a little rough around the edges but in no time will be wicked dudes. I have already modified the body kit, installed an additional JL Adio subwoofer with an EX2 power amplifier, vacuumed/ steam cleaned the carpets, rewired the hack job done on the radio to something neat and orderly. The rims are seriously pitted! So I am going to sand blast the chrome off and acid wash the remaining Juni then paint a gloss charcoal grey. About to order a new front bumper just undecided on which to get since I am keeping the aftermarket Bomex sideskirts on. Going to ceramic brakes. Uprgrading the suspension comes next, then a full cat-exhaust system, then new caurpeting and front seats. Then ill finally start upgrading the engine.

Not new to CL but its been awhile and I'm back in the game. Picked up a '97 SC400 earlier this week. 165k miles. Pretty clean in and out. Lots of plans already for it.

Just bought my second car a few days ago, and im glad to say it is a red 93 sc400. The only mod i have for now is 19" ADR wheels. The previous owner recently had the car painted and serviced by lexus, so it runs great with no problems!

Hey! I just got my first SC today, It's a 1992 SC300. The guy got it from bought it new back in 92, it only has 168,000 miles and its in great condition, some of the dash lights are going out though but I hear that's common. The antenna needs replaced also but other than that its a great car! Oh yeah I only paid 3,400$

Hello every one. I'm new to Lexus but know a lot about them I've done a ton of research and along with working on a good friends is300 that we are currently putting in a new clutch and light weight flywheel in. I unfortunately don't own a lexus yet but soon I am hoping to get a sc400 and convert it to a 5 speed. I'm actually looking at JDM ups sc400 that is currently for sale about an hour away from where I live. But who knows how m still on the search. I have been doing learning. Alot from your guys threads. Every one keep up the great work
