Default New to me 96 SC400

Just purchased a 1996 SC400 56,000 mile creampuff in Renaissance Red.
Selling my BMW 850i, instead of spending thousands to do all the maintenance to get it to stop leaking all it's fluids.
Doing alot of research/reading before I start asking questions.
I do have one question:
I got a Hagerty insurance quote of $345/year full coverage @ 10k agreed value. High/Low?
Comments welcome with welcoming comments. Thanks

Insured for $10k is great. Any damage to the car and most insurance companies will salvage it for pennies... If it was a 840i I'd say keep her but the 850i is a whole different mess or maintenance. Good luck with the legit Lexus!

Whats up guys, I'm Cody and I will be picking up my first SC this next week. I traded a 1983 Cressida that I had built for it. I have some plans for it that include BMW Style 95 wheels in 19x10's, a Rocket Bunny rear wing, R154 swap, 57 trim turbo kit and lots of time spent sideways. I will be starting a build thread here pretty soon.

Default new to the club

Hello Club Lexus members.
I just recently became a Lexus owner for the first time. In June I sold my German sports car so I could seek out a new automotive adventure. The short list of cars I was looking for included the Mazdaspeed6 and the Lexus SC300. After two months of searching and test driving I purchased a 1997 SC300 with the 5 speed manual tranny. The car has 144K miles on it so I will be busy catching up on any deferred maintenance. I expect to be making regular visits to this forum for awhile.

74,000 miles only i couldnt belive it till i saw the odometer myself. Brakes, brake rotors, belts, water pump new battery all have been just done. the only thing i noticed so far is that the pull out cupholder is missing does not look to extreme cause the original seems flimsy is their something else i can put instead?

My '92 never had the cup holder so instead that slot happened to fit the garage door opener..... With only 74K miles it is barely broken in.... Not much to do to it unless you plan to go the "super build" route and aspire to 400-500 (or more) hp....

Hello everyone, my name is Max. I just recently bought a 1995 Lexus SC300 5 Speed with 233k miles on it. The car is all stock and I have a little plan to get some more power out of it and give it a nice sexy stance. The car is black on black and is in desperate need of some coil overs and wheels.

I will post pictures later. Anyway, hello!

Default sc300 flat grey project car

Hey all, this is my first project car. Experimented with pre-dawn grey with hot rod flat clear coat sprayed over it. Gloss black for the logos. Tell me what you think!

Hello all,my name is Michael and a couple days ago I sold my old car (an Alero yuck!) and bought a 1992 SC400. So far I'm loving it, it has a few dings and whatnot but nothing major. It's amazing how good a car from 21 years ago can be today, even my dad and his big ol' 300c loves it!

Excuse my phone's camera brightness.
