Old new guy.....
Hello all,
I am new to Lexus, but not new to cars. I have been in the car business since 1972 and have done most every job in a dealership. At any time, I would be happy to answer, as best I can, any questions about the business.
so, what brings me here? Well, I have a love of Saabs and have been driving them for 20 years. I currently own 2 Saab 9000's and love driving them.....but....the end is insight. I have at last come to the conclusion that I am going to have to move on. I have always leaned towards European cars, and after owning several over the years, I am not going to subject myself to the snobbish holier than thou attitude that German,Swedish,Italian, and British service departments have.
All this has lead me to the sc 300 or400....the quality is there, handles ok, and the powertrain seems to be bulletproof....but you all know this already.
Quite frankly, I have always driven/ridden vehicles that have been a little different...'02 Roadking with suicide shift, '00 Trophy 1200, Yamaha virago being turned into a café racer, '03 Triumph speedy receiving brake upgrade and radiator relocation.....my hope here is to learn about these cars, make intelligent decisions, and to NOT build a car that looks like all the other coffee canned exhaust, ugly plastic misformed body kitted wanna be racers around.
Oh, please don't think that I've got a bad attitude.....my favorite team ( Denver Broncos) just got taught what happens when they become complacent !!! So, I really am a nice guy most of the time..
Allen

Thanks, I'm considering painting them another color and running them for a while. I have a friend with a mk3 Supra that's supposed to buy them but they have brand new tires on them so I'll probably keep them for the time being. In the process now of getting rid of the body kit and going back to stock bumpers, cleaning up the interior and getting rid of the oil leaks.

Hi all, just got my first SC and im so mad it took me so long to get one lol. Im in texas, im military and drifting is my goal with the sc. Shes pretty virgin right now and had a not so great owner before me. But i got it for 800 dollars. Shes got a solid body, everything works perfect. Only cons are ugly white bumper, missing passenger and rear seats, steering rack was shot(already replaced). But i got big plans. Before this i had a 350z w/ turbonetics single turbo kit with 436rwhp and before that a couple 240s. So i wanna succeed my last cars power of course.
Heres what i got so far
-w58 (going z tranny when i blow this one)
-DM 5 speed conversion package
-Garrett GT35r
-comp flywheel
-Ebay same entry exit Fmic
-All piping
-Ebay manifold and downpipe
-Tokico illuminas w/ eibach pro's
-arp headstuds
-hks mhg
Piecing together everything else still.
Also im looking for a manual front driveshaft, and wheels so pm if you got either of those! Cash in hand.

Hello everyone, my name is Chris and I just joined this forum today. I am a small car dealer, auto detailer, and auto enthusiast. I currently have a small collection of Japanese sports cars. I recently acquired a 92 Sc 400 with 68k miles. It's garnet pearl red. It's in amazing condition inside and out. All original paint down to the bumpers. I also have a 94 sc 300 with 37k miles. It's jade green with the gold package. It also has original paint and was female owned. Both cars are in amazing shape. I am undecided on which one of these cars I will keep for my collection. I am asking the CL community for some imput. I am aware of the differences between both. Thank you

Hey guys. I'm Chris. New here. I own a red 97 sc300. I got lucky I bought it 3 years ago with only 22k original miles on it. Someones summer time car that was barely used haha. It's bone stock and I'm here to better educate myself on what I can do to it. I'm excited to learn and read up on everything I can!

Hey there, I'm Logan. I just got a 1992 SC400 yesterday on a whim. It's my first non-Mopar vehicle ever. I have about ~10,000 forum posts on every Jeep and Mopar forum known to the internet. I can talk old school pushrod V8's all day, but this 1UZ is totally foreign to me. I'm pretty excited about learning something totally new. I like to revive cars that are probably beyond saving. This SC was a little nicer than hopeless, but not much.
Some of my previous projects:
My last Jeep. Lowered on progressive rate H&R's, 360CI SBM pushing 295HP and 385 ft/lbs, one ton steering linkage, sticky tires. 0-60 in 5.95. Not to bad for a 15 year old, 4200 lb SUV with a full interior.
My wife's ride. Lifted, locked, armored, and pink. I don't need to worry about her getting stuck anywhere.
My real old Jeep. 4.7L with HO cam, CAI, 3" exhaust with electric cutout, lowered, and 3000RMS in the trunk.
And the newest project. Picked her up last night for a cool $2,000. She has issues, but I think there's potential.

Hey everyone,
I'm Josiah. I am a new transplant to the state of Washington, originally from North Carolina. Not a Lexus owner at the moment but registered to do my homework and become familiar with the community. I come from the Mitsubishi/DSM's originally; decided it was time for a change and bought a Mazda RX-8. I've owned two DSM's, a Evo MR 05', and a Galant VR-4.
Decided that the RX-8 was not the platform for me and will be looking at acquiring a SC300/400 within the next few months. Probably after the new year. Already read some of the threads about what it takes to own/maintain one and it doesn't look any worse than any other car I've owned.
So thanks for having me. Hope to become an owner soon and I am gonna go back to reading and learning.
I don't have any pictures of my cars at this moment, but can post some when I get on my home computer.

Ok so I've had my 1995 SC300 2JZGE for a couple of years now. I have used clublexus for ALL answers to questions & resolutions of "issues" with my beautiful wifey (my SC). I have found that all problems seem to be universal with these cars, but I don't care! The answers are all here any way. It was love @ 1st sight when I saw her in late 1991 (dealerships had the '92 car's beening released) I was 11 by the way & knew that as soon as I could get my hands on her I would.... Sounds like a love affair and it is! Not much done to her though as she's a daily driver and im a single dad (not much time to wrench when you taking care of your kids & working full time) She's still an out of the box beast though.
Parts: Cold air intake (in process of construction of ram air system, can't afford to go na-t ;'(
New vacuums (lets face it she's 18 rubber breaks down)
Had wheels didn't get enough traction with them, too light weight, had to go
DNA Motoring Stainless brake lines with teflon tube internals
Wish list: I want to build a sleeper monster... maybe when my daughter is out of diapers...
