Hey guys I'm new to the Lexus platform, bought an sc400 for a nice daily, I'm about to have it wrapped gunmetal grey and I have some g35 18x8's I'm going to powder coat and put on there as well. I plan on hacking off the axleback section of the exhaust and putting on some carbon fiber tipped mufflers I bought, fixing the broken stereo, and maybe a 5 speed swap if I keep it long enough. Im 21 and go to portland state along with a full time job so I don't have much time to do work on the SC.

hey everyone...not new but just wanted to stop in to say whats up.
Ive been very indecisive on what I want as a nice daily driver...the sc is definitely at the forefront, especially if I can find a clean 5spd for a good price...wish me luck haha

Hey CL, my name is Christian and I've had my 95 SC300 for about 5 months now. I learned a lot about this car from this forum before I bought it. You guys made me want this car, and I'm glad I got it. I've already learned a lot from this site, I hope too learn more, and I hope someday I can contribute to this community.
This is my first car, and I'm a broke college student, but any extra money I get I plan on using it on my car.
So far, the only things I've done to my car are new brakes and rims. The rims are off a G35, the wheels it came with weren't oem, but looked pretty bad, and the tires were in pretty bad shape. I'm not planning on modding her much yet considering I have little money and mechanical knowledge. I do need a new radiator and rear struts, and I think I'ma seafoam my engine and look into aftermarket intake. The interior is pretty rough. The paint is coming off the hood, and the front right fender is kinda beat, and some other scratches here and there.
I'ma try to attach some pics of my car. Any advice or comments on my car would be appreciated.

New member, old Lexo
I've got a 1992 Lexus SC400, originally the gold color, but not anymore. I have been through some repairs on it, mostly stock at the moment, with aftermarket exhaust and intake. I would love to have the time and money to rebuild it completely, but at the moment I am stuck with it as my daily driver. I have used this forum many times for information when working on my car, and finally decided to join you all.
I've got a few maintenance issues going on right now that I will be posting about later today.
Love CL and love my Lexus.

Hey I am new to the Lexus world I will be purchasing my first sc300 next week. I am very excited I have read about these cars a lot and have always admired them. The car is a blast to drive and I am much looking forward to ownership. The car I am buying is a black 1996 with an original 5 - speed transmission. The body is straight the car has a clean title and most everything seems to work aside from the passenger door needing to be opened from the inside and the seats being beat up. It has light mods, an air intake, magnaflow exhaust, supra suspension and brakes, and a '97 front end. The car has 200k on it, but that doesn't really scare me. My current car, an e28 bmw has 320k on the clock and has been my daily for a year and a half. I have read these cars can last a very long time if well maintained and I keep meticulous care of my car. Plus I would imagine a swap being fairly easy. I am paying $7000 for the car which compared to other scs on the market seems reasonable. What do all of you guys think? I will post pics when I buy.
