New to CL from North Jersey
Hi my name is Connor. I have had my 1992 dark green SC300 5 speed for about 4 months now. I have been a car enthusiast since I was young, and an SC300/400 lover from first sight. The car has been great to me. Since fixing the idle problem I was having, this car has been exceptionally reliable. I am glad to join Club Lexus and can't wait to start putting in work on my car.
Pictures will be added soon

Hello. RE: Luther Lexus
RE: Luther Lexus; 1992 SC300 with 5 speed manual gearbox. Shiney Black.
Distant Background: Until purchasing Luther Lexus in November of 2006 with 117,650 miles I drove various manual shift Supras for the previous 18 years. One 1985 Supra went 500,000 miles before I retired it. In 2006 there were no more stock, non-turbo, non-modified, no bling bling, no chrome exhaust, Supras on the market. The SC300 has a Supra engine, manual gear box, etc.
Background: I purchased Luther Lexus in November 2006 with 117,650 miles. The car was in above average condition (I will not purchase fixer uppers.) As of 03/7/14 Luther has 344,000 miles. My annual maint costs are $3,000 to $5,000 per year, including tires. The extraordinary repairs/expenses have been the engine management computer and $2,000 to replace the front control arms due to worn out bushings at 327,717 miles.
Why I'm here: 1) to share my maint records with other owners; 2) I want to know where other sc300 manual shift cars are, who owns them.
"Drifting is not racing its, BS. Stop ruining great rear drive cars to make drifting cars out of them."

Big Fan of the SC series
Hey Guys,
I have been following the Lexus forums for a few years. My first Lexus was a Black/Black ES300 when I was in high school. I put black rims w/a chrome lip and I was in love with that car. I sold it before college and always missed driving Lexus.
When I transferred to NC for college, I needed a car and found a great 1995 Lexus SC300: Forest Green with Tan leather. I added some 2001 IS300 OEM rims and tinted the windows. I LOVED THAT CAR!
One night, some drunk idiot crashed into it while it was parked outside of my house; totaled.
I bought a 5 Speed Camry, but it was not the same...
I found a 1995 Gold SC300 this past summer owned and garaged by and elderly gentleman and it was a deal. Something was missing though. When day just browsing online I found a Black/Black SC300 (1999) with the beautiful wood grain interior and the automatic shifter which I liked so much more than the previous years. Now I actually have both cars and need to decide to sell one of them as I finish college. I have been driving the Black SC and it runs great. It has aftermarket exhaust, stock spoiler, HID's etc.
The gold one is all stock
So I ask you all.....which one should sell??!!?? Both are in great condition.

Hello new member, from GA
My name is Josh. I've owned my 1998 Lexus SC300 for three awesome years. I'm actually the third owner, so the first two owners took care of it pretty good. I have done no mods to it. The only thing that doesn't work is the cd changer. Here are some pics when I got it in 2011 (94,700 miles) and I detailed it (clayed, polished, and sealed). It has just ticked over 111,600 miles as of today. I still looks the same three years later, just not as clean at the moment.

Greetings & Salutations CL!
Been a member for a little while now, but just getting to posting an intro. I've been reluctant only because i dont have an awesome list of mods/changes/upgrades to provide for my 98 SC400. I adopted from father-in-law. Not a bad adoption, right?!?!?! Just under 100k.. I've never even driven one til I got this one. I was hooked from the start. I was immediately impressed with how they handle! Awesome! Anyway... It needs a few things of course.. dang knock sensor, AC kick-in-the-butt, electrical ghost (speedo works when it wants), & a couple other things. Just like so many folks... just need a few more $$ and some more time in the day. Gotta couple young ones runnin around so when not working, I'm clocked in as dad! HA!!
Glad to be a part of the club though! I been lurking for a bit like I said... a few changes are in the near future thankfully. I know somewhere on here I can find just about everything i need to do anything I WANT to do!
