Bogies out and pops when trying reving the motor.
I have a 1995 SC300 with the emissions delete. I just changed out the stock fuel pump with AEM fuel pump. I had to jumper the fuel pump ecu for it to get power to the pump.
now when I try to rev or accelerate the car bodies down and pops on any pressure passed idle. The car idles just fine. Has anyone else had this problem and can help me figure this one out?
Getting my car home from my parents house to work on it in my garage.

Hello! New ‘92 SC400 owner checking in
Hey everyone! New, proud owner of this 1992 Lexus SC400. Only 98,400 miles and incredibly well taken care of. Super pumped to own one finally and I’m sure this is a great place to sort out any oddities with the car along the way.

Well I got the interior pulled today. I will try to power wash carpet however it needs all new interior. At some point in its life it has had water in it as there is mold growing throughout. Door panels are destroyed, carpet questionable, needs new seats. Next ill disinfect the interior and I need to do a radiator flush as it looks like poop under the cap. It has purple coil overs in it but I know nothing about imports. Had a 1500rwhp Z06 prior to this

Hello, I’m new!
Hello, my name is Trevor Mowery. I live in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma. I recently graduated high school, class of 2021, and a few months after I graduated I got accepted into a technical school to learn to become a aviation maintenance technician. Now onto my car. Back in late November early December I bought a 1996 Lexus sc400. When I was looking at the car it didn’t run, but it cranked. I knew that was a good sign, so I bought it and have been fixing it up ever since. The list of things I’ve replaced and cleaned is pretty long so bear with me. I’ve replaced the battery, battery terminals, alternator, serpentine belt, pcv valve and grommet, valve cover gaskets, spark plug grommets, cleaned the valve covers, spark plugs, spark plug wires, fuel pump, fuel filter, fuse to the fuel pump and a bad wire. It runs now, but I’m still having some misfire issues with it. That’s another story for another forum. Here are some pictures.

Hi! long time lurker here, I've had my 97 SC300 for a couple years now, still haven't done much to it. Finally got a stable income where I can afford to work on my car, so that got me motivated to make an account and learn stuff here! I'm still pretty uninformed with cars in general but I'm trying to learn how to get my car running. I'd send pics but my car ain't looking too hot at the moment.

Not sure if I’m at the right place lol
Hey guys, my names Ben. I’m relatively new to the car community. Right now I own a 07 g35 sedan but I’m trying to get my hands on a sc400. The sc400 I have an eye on is at my dads job and has been abandoned for like around 8 years in a garage. Im from Cali and I was wondering if y’all know what I can do to obtain the car. The car also has Texas license plates. And if it matters, the owner is dead. Thanks for reading.

You've probably already thought of this and I'm sure you'll get better advice from others on this thread but, I'd begin with a letter to the Texas DOL and the plate number and VIN explaining the situation and asking for the last registered owner's name and address. Check the Texas DOL website and they may have a form for this type of request. Do what you can online with them and call them to follow up. Then, I'd find out who manages the garage and see if they have any information on the car. Most likely no one is paying rent and they would prefer to have a revenue spot rather than an unprofitable one. The local police may have a policy on abandoned cars which could put you on the right track. They may also give you and entry to the CA DOL. Assuming you can find the particulars on the previous (current) owner, they might love to get rid of it for a small fee. It's a beautiful car and most of us here would be all over this potential classic acquisition.

Hello SC400 fanatics. My name is Steve Athans. I live in Jax Fl. Had a 95 SC400 Silver and Just bought a 99 Black on Black SC400. Love this car. Engine, Tranny and interior in excellent shape. Drives like a dream. Needed power steering High Pressure hoses and decided to replace timing belt and tensioner at the same time. Put 18" TRX rims and Z on and made a big difference in handling. Was perfect and wanted to paint it and fix hail damage but some idiot running without lights crashed my front end and been in the shop for a few weeks. They're doing great job but can't find a replacement for rebar cross rail that the power steering hoses sit on right under the front of the engine. If anybody knows the part I'm talking about or has one please contact me. It just doesn't look quite right without it.

Hey my name is Joe. I live in New Mexico and just recently inherited a 92 SC400 with 7k on the odometer. Found in my dads barn. All panels are straight. Paint moderate quality. Original wheels. Automatic. Inside needs some work. Speaking of inside. In an effort to keep the mice out. He left moth ***** in the car for the last 3-4 years. The inside stinks of moth *****. This will in due time dissipate. Any advice or relieving the moth ball smell is appreciated. Audio does not work. Will have to problem solve.
Just put 5k into it to get it safely running. Drives like new. Pics to follow.

Crazy to think we've hit the time where you can find something like that as a true "barn find". That car will take some work to get back to 100% after sitting but it'll be a true stunner once it's all cleaned up. Congrats on the awesome score!

New Project SC300 with my son
Hi, I recently picked up a 94 SC300, 135k as a project for my son's first car. I found your forum tracking down info on several things and found a lot of the data we were looking for so I thought it was time to join and thank you for all your helpful posts.
I've been working on and building cars for a long while and hope to contribute to the cause when ever possible. We have a full factory manual set (kind of underwhelming) but I may be able to share some from that.
We have tackled a few major issues on this car and I'll be sharing some stuff we found during our Brake sys rebuild, power steering replace and full LED gauge needle and backlight upgrade. I was happy to find some very helpful posts regarding the dash issues and now that I have joined I'm going to go through and look for the OP's to thank them personally.
My son and I thank you all 🖖
