Hi all, new member and owner of a 1992 SC400. Got it at 139k miles. It's pretty original and stock condition, 1 previous owner. Current plans are to keep it fairly stock. I want to do Tints, Audio, and wheels but that's about it. I love this car so far and some people stopped me at a store already asking if I was selling it haha. Here's a few pictures. Don't mind the gap on the front hood, I was looking at the engine bay when I went to pick it up and forgot to close it all the way when taking photos. Oh, it also came with the brick phone!

Awesome to see some new members and people enjoying these cars while they're still around!
Also, that brick phone, I love it! My '96 still had it and it was such a cool little relic.

Hey guys! new to the SC game
Hey there guys, my name is Jeremy and I'm new to the SC game. picked up a "new" 97 SC300 from a buddy of mine a few months ago and am very excited to do some minor mods and drive it!
the car has 300k miles on it and runs like a champ! already got my first few mods purchased and am going to be installing them over the next few months!
I do have experience in the realm of mechanical repair but have not ventured in modifying things that any vehicle did not come with! "I'm a dealership mechanic for Mercedes"
to start I will be swapping from Auto to Manual with a 97 MKIV supra W58, Just started it yesterday and ran into a few hickups, but the car does start! just has a CEL lol, and got some TT MKIV supra brake calipers, rotors, and pads!
I will probably have some questions along the way and would love any advice that you guys can give!
It is not the cleanest! but here it is!

Hey guys, my name is Ivan and I just bought this 1992 SC300 a couple of days ago, already ran into a problem lol
Car's a gem in the rough, picked it up dirty with a lot of bird dung all over it
while driving it back to my house from the seller, and it started losing power and went into what can be described as a "limp mode" after some research and a tow truck we ordered a replacement MAF for the car and its coming on Monday. hopefully, I'll have it up and running by then!
This is my first car (i know i know, questionable idea buying a 32 year old car) and I'm gonna be tinkering with it myself and trying to get it all fixed up, so you might see me asking for help a lot on the forums. (the speedometer/tach ain't working lol)
When i get it running smoothly im planning to patch up the rough spots with some paint and a new clear coat. ill post the pictures when its done!
Oh and the car came with the stock manual W58 transmission, so its a fun one!
little dirty, needs a cleanup

Hello everyone, hailing from San Diego. I purchased a 99 SC300 with 119K miles. Pretty mint inside black interior. Previous owner really took care of it. I'm slowly building it starting with maintenance and tackling some oil leakage. I want to eventually swap to a manual which I've gathered some of the parts already starting with CD009 and SC430 rear diff. I couldn't pass it up. Anyhow, I'm looking forward to learning a lot and picking the veteran member's brain. Thanks for having me.

Writing from Nevada City, California, one of the most authentic gold rush towns. My home dates from 1904, a Victorian. This is a great place to live and retire.
I've owned 2 LS400's starting in 1995, a 2003 LS430 that I got new at Mission Viejo Lexus in Orange County and still have, and an SC430...now that was fun. In between, there was an Expedition, couple of 4wd pickups (still have one), a 1966 VW bug, and an Audi TT with manual transmission.
My LS430 has 185K miles now, really looks almost new. A terrific car. If it ever dies, I'll just park it and go out to listen to the ML stereo/radio. But it won't die.
I have been thinking about a LS600hL, and put one through a pre-purchase inspection by a Toyota dealer. They discovered $29K of recommended repairs (of course a bit exaggerated) but the owner did not want to discuss any price reduction. Lemme know about a "low mileage" LS hybrid?
