First thing i did on Tuesday morning was get it serviced which included the timing belt. But i got it back this afternoon and they said the timing belt had been replaced just under 2000 miles ago so it was unnecessary. So i had a a basic tune up done. Runs like a champ, and the engine bay is clean enough to eat off of.

A few things that tick me off about this car

1: Wheels are oxidized and substantially nasty, gives me an excuse to purchase new wheels. Work mister SP1s are on my shopping list.

2: Instrument/Gauge cluster - has the notorious needle flicker and several of the backlight LEDs are burnt out. I am debating buying a used cluster, or sending it out to Lextech to get it refitted with better LEDs.

3: Climate control has also dimmed to an annoying color.

4: The audio system was fitted with an old ABSOLUTE DD-568 6.5 inch double DIN DVD/CD Player which has absolutely no support from they makers. A user manual cannot be located. On top of that i believe the install was less than desirable quality as the speakers/wires have that high pitch whine that gets louder as the engine load increases.

5: Clunking from suspension when traveling in harsh roads makes me believe that its time for some new bushings. Might as well get coilovers while im down there. If i decide to go coils, im going stance GR+ Pro. I have STANCE GR+ on my FC3S, and had those on my S14. I loved those coils and never gave me any problems. UAS bags are being considered, but i dont want to drop to much money into the SC when the RX7 needs attention.

6: Driverside headlight has internal fogging/moisture, I finished taking apart the headlight assembly and baking it to get the adhesive off this afternoon. After inspection i was unable to find any leaking or found any cracks on the lens or plastic casing. I am kind of at a loss why that light is letting in water.

Beyond this thread i wont be making to many threads about my own car, I know how to use the search button. This isn't my first forum.

If i do make more threads in this forum, most of which are probably to make fun of people, share retarded pictures, or just be plain homo with some fellow members. So beware.

Thanks for the greets everyone...i hope to tug on your pe....i mean....talk with you guys some time soon.

good pick up on the 92.
maybe the water is running in by the bulb in the headlight.
try sealing the bulb and put a drip loop in the wires.
also check the hood seal by your leaky headlight for leaks.
i'm just stating the obvious

My name is Maurice I recently Purchased a 93 sc300 currently parked working on doing a 2jzgte swap. body needs work but overall not a bad buy. For whatever reason I cannot post pics on the site as yet. So hopefully i get the swap done in a cpl weeks as I need my car on the road. Leaving it completely stock no mods to the 2jz until later on.
