Default Newbe Who Reconstructed An Sc400

Well i am new here and thought I would show all of you what I have done. I bought a 1993 Sc400 with 200,000 miles for 2,000 bucks. The paint looked like crap and it had some wrinkles in the rear quarters. Not to mention it had about 50 dings in it. The interior had never been cleaned from day 1!!!

I bought the car and found your web sight. I took the car to NOTHING. I pulled the bumpers and all the trim. I took out all the glass, door panels, headliner, seats......You name it I took it off.

Mechanically the car checked out like a diamond in the rough. Who would have thought by the way it looked. My mechanic was over impressed by the care that was given to the drivetrain. the previous owner said I bought the car to drive on the highway so I had to make sure it was always taken car of. He had the nerve to say "why clean it when it will get dirty again". Here are some Pics of what I did.

here is after i took it apart and started working on it.

Default WOW

Nice project! So by now you pretty much know the SC400 top to bottom, front to back, and inside-out? Keep us posted on your progress, any plans for the future? Since you bought it for only $2000, you should have plenty of money left over for a twin turbo, right?

It is a nice stand. My buddys garage is quite eclectic. He is part hill-billy!! I was not about to do that work in my garage. Look at the pic and I am sure there is more funny stuff to be found

looks great! How much did you end up spending?? Including the car? Also seem like you had another project the same time there? Must have been a busy guy! Great JOB!
