Thumbs down Sunroof leak and headlamp issue

Just recently rained about all day in San Antonio, Texas. I got into my car and on my first left turn, about a cup of water spilled out of my dome light. The dome lights still work and looking at the sunroof mechanisms I cant see anything psychically wrong. This is the second time I've experienced this. After the first I figured I just didn't close it all the way but since then I've been sure to and now this.

Second problem- While driving on the highway, none of my lights worked at all. Only the city lights turned on and the brights when I'd pull on it in a "flashing" manner". But if I turned them to stay on they wouldn't work. Fog lights nor headlamps worked either. BUT...I just went outside and checked on the lights and they all work. Everything works now.

Any ideas? Anyone had their sunroof leak? My car has never been wrecked and as I said no physical damage can be seen to the unaided eye. Thanks to anyone who replies in advance.

Best,
Ashtray

ALL sunroofs "leak" they are designed to, the problem is it not DRAINING. Clean your drains, plenty of info around here on it.

Yep, open the sunroof and take a air hose with nozzle and see if it helps out.. Do this in all four corners.. Not too much air..

Long shot, but my sc had a problem where the metal underneath the top weatherstripping for the windshield rusted out from being exposed to water, dunno if that could cause it to leak into the dome light though, mine leaked in the cabin at the front of the headliner.

clean your sunroof drains with weed eater plastic line and NOT with wire.......wire can pierce holes in your rubber drain tubes....not good

When i had a sunroof company come out to install a new windshield for me, the guy removed the old one in my garage and found all the rust. He sanded it down as best as he could with the tools he had there, may have used some filler or something to build it up from what the rust took out (im not sure, wasnt watching him the whole time he was doing it) Then installed the new windshield. Never had a problem since.

Should probably just get a new wind shield installed, tell the company what the problem is before they come out and see what they say. My install cost around $90 i think, but if you have full insurance coverage, it may pay for the cost of the new windshield.
