yes I did. I went and looked at the car. Ran very smooth. But you failed to mention the fact that its a salvaged title. He said he was willing to let it go for 4200. He also just posted another 92 sc400 in Silver Spruce Metallic that I might go look at, I think it has the stock wheels off of your car. And I actually was going to look at the car for a second time the day you purchased it, as the first time I went it was dark out. Nice car but it needs bit of body work on the drivers quarter-panel. Anyways good luck with the car, get those dents fixed and painted, slap on some nice wheels, tint, lower it and you will have one badass car!

Yeah, this is the one! I already had the dents worked out by a place here that does some amazing work. Other than that (and the salvage title) I think the car was a steal. The branding doesn't bother me much, because I don't buy cars with the intention of selling them... just drive 'em until the wheels fall off. Here's a photo after the body work on the rear quarter. $250 including touch-up all around and a headlight buff. I think it turned out alright for now.. the reflections make it look odd, but it's totally smooth.
As a side note, the guy was pretty honest. No surprises, no problems. Everything checks out A-ok, and I've already put almost 1k miles on it. Maybe the other one is worth a look?
*Also, I found the insurance auction photos online of the damage before purchasing the car. It was really fairly minimal. Broken tail light, dented quarter, slight damage under the trunk carpet and a misaligned trunk. All was pulled straight and replaced. It's funny what insurance co's will total a car over, though I'd imagine they estimated body work, a tail light, paint for the quarter and bumper/replacement and a trunk realignment... that would easily hit close to KBB value.
