Default hating my headlights everyday a lil more

Ok so im having serious thought of beating my headlights to pieces when i picked up my soarer the headlights really sucked yellow & toasted id drive with my high beams and couldnt see 5 ft. ahead so i came acorss O.L.T`s DYI which i thought was awesome on cleaning your headlights so i did that opened them bad boys up they actually had dirt in them as in sand and twigs pieces so i take my headlights apart clean buff my projector lens sanded and clearcoated my covers with uv protective clear coat and installed sum 3000k hids got excited till i turnt them on...... do the headlights normally illuminate so bad??? i noticed inside right behind the projector lens has some plastic tabs myb restricting any suggestions or opinions to better em ?

Time for some better projectors. TSX projectors vs. stock SC projectors = night and day's difference.

Fellow Dominicano! Yea man time to get some tsx projectors. Our projectors werent meant for hids. Theres a thread somewhere around here. They are amazing.

hahaa fellow dominicano lol.............. so Are the tsx projectors the best way to go any advice on the install? and how do you guys feel about having hids in the cornerlights or too much?

To be honest, I actually prefer using regular high wattage halogen bulbs vs HID's at this point in my stock projectors. I had a 6000k HID kit installed and they were terrible. I took them out and replaced them with regular bulbs.

Tabaka how much of a high wattage are you using?

It's probably because your installing yellow headlights as your low beams, get something thats bright. High wattage 6000k should do just fine...

I think my car has some cheap 55w 6000k and they light up pretty good.. I'll rock them until they blow..

Same here. I got 6000K from xenonlink.com and it beats any halogen bulbs that I put in.

ive had 3000k yellows for low beams on my other cars and never had that issue they actually are stronger than the 6k whites and see better in the rain myb cuz they dnt use projectors but in this case opposite im goin try 6000k ive got laying around if not i try the higher wattage if not ima retrofit the poop out of these headlights

We can do projector retrofit, black housing, ccfl rings, led rings, headlight restoration, etc!

as they said you can use tsx or any other retrofit. also you can use some 97s which have a better lens projection. i just so happen to be selling a set. im willing to trade for yours + cash

i have audi tt retrofits with a d2s 5000k bulb. Its perfect, you get more light output at 5-6k anything more is just color and you dont see as clearly!
